Here's the Cerene walk we mentioned earlier this month. This is an in-progress animation by one of our new animators which has reached a state where we'd like to show it to you and get your feedback. As you can see, we went through a few versions before we arrived at walk 5.

We'll continue fine tuning this one until we're happy with it, but let us know what you think of each version. They're all functional walks, but we want one that's right for Cerene. Which ones do you think work for her, and which ones don't? Any thoughts on what should be changed, if anything? If you have reference videos of a walk you think might suit one of our characters, feel free to link it!

What we missing is swinging dick. Anything is fine but not 1 for me. 2 may be the first time to show how much energy she is then turn to 1 or 5 that she can't walk straight at the end. But if it would like to be more it would tight collide or jiggle boobs. Or tried like holding her lower abdomen with a slow and short walk to show how hard happen to her. (with some trace of dripping cum) Could be in use when Cerene got her revenge on Sophia.

Something that I'm noticing in the kinematics for all of these walk animations is that Cerene isn't moving her feet "correctly" to contact the ground while wearing those shoes. Basically, you can't walk in high heels the same way you can in sneakers or tennis/running shoes with the rounded rocker at the front that lets you "roll" through the heel strike from back to front. The feet need to be doing THIS in order to maintain balance: https://tenor.com/view/high-heels-gif-9865930 With a longer stride, you wind up with THIS: https://tenor.com/view/sexy-girl-hot-cat-walk-entrance-gif-13752328 And done right for a sexpot like Cerene, when you get the inverse kinematics right from the placement of the feet in front of each other up through the ankles, knees and hips into the lower back, you wind up with this kind of hip motion: https://tenor.com/view/dance-sexy-walk-gif-12759217 Notice how little shoulder swivel is happening in those last two reference gifs. What shoulder movement is visible is mostly incidental, since the idea is to keep the shoulders relatively steady so there doesn't need to be a whole lot of neck effort to keep the head (and thus the eyes) steady. Swinging the shoulders around complicates that effort to steady the head and eyes reasonably well. The counterbalance to the movement of the legs is in the swing of the arms, not in the swiveling of the shoulders. In the passion-lovely.gif a LOT of the sexy walk visual centers around the way the hips move because of how the walking gait progresses with each step.

Also, all 5 of these animations are too invested in keeping Cerene as vertical as possible, when she ought to be leaning slightly forwards into her strides. This discrepancy is most evident in the walk_side_move video, where it's hard to imagine Cerene is keeping her balance over her feet because she's so upright all the time keeping her center of gravity behind where she is stepping rather than over the space between where her foot was and where it is going.

Yeah sorry. I gotta vote for none. 4 is the one to proceed from at least. Seems like it at least has the swinging hips without doing... whatever 1,2 and 3 are doing. But yeah, keeping fingers crossed for more improvements at least. Seems like there's some fundamental learning hurdles happening. Walking is hard (seriously). Her shoes are clipping pretty hard into her legs. I'd say 4, but actually anything but 2 or 3.

Daz studio default walk cycles are usually good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuJ1C4-MgZA Watch how her legs kick forward for momentum and make sure when her heel touches the ground, the contact in-between is short from heel to toe so u get that sense of weight to plant her feet with each stride. Animation walk cycles are not easy just letting u guys know if u dont know. They are probably one of the hardest things to do since they all have different attitudes, body types, weight, dainty, heavy etc. All those things need to be applied to this walk cycle. Check out Richard Williams Animators Survival kit if u want to know the principles of walk cycles. Its the animation bible pretty much. But 1 or 4 I would say have decent rhythm but they need some tweaking. Her legs also are too bent for this animation. When her legs go out, they should be straight, heel touches the ground, knee bends because weight, toe plants, foot slides, back. Mid position her head should go slightly past her passing point, and that leg that's planted should be straight aligned with her spine, and the alternating leg should be bent, kick out, straight, heel touches the ground, knee bends because weight, toe plants, foot slides, back. Key out your poses, then tweak your inbetweens and you should get this working a little better.

The walking animation is good didn't notice any difference until the 4 an 5 where they were most noticeable but other than the obvious need more stride in her step its pretty good

I'm voting None simply because the way that Cerene is postured (vertical) and the kinematics of her balance (center of gravity behind the stride, not in front of it) and the awkwardness of how her feet move on her ankles with each step is significantly disqualifying for all 5 animations. However, the mistakes in each animation do provide important lessons for "do this, not that" which will need to be learned, so the entire exercise is NOT a waste of time. Sometimes you need to make mistakes in order to find the "better" right answers.

I mostly agree with you. That's kinda true of any new software though, it can take a stupid amount of time to get familiar with it, and while I myself enjoy blender it isn't the easiest software to learn. I'm wondering if the spring bones addon would help make the breasts seem more natural. Some of this might be a tad rough to compare though as the twitter examples have some amazing lighting set up perfectly as well.

For stuff like this no way, now it getting used again from a main project then you're talking yeah, yet for patreon vids I'd highly doubt that'll happen... that sort of work isn't cheap even for something as trivial as some walking takes. Now would I have wanted more from yes oh yes 100%, yet you have to be realistic on what can be done for these. I still want and know more should be done yet it's not for me to dictate on X thing being made

Not defending that at all, I'm aware of the... far from ideal output speeds yet I'm not capable past still images to do anything about it... even then I need to learn Blender, yet with me doing images sure that's one thing yet I'm no animator nor am I far enough up the chain to make any adjustments on how X stuff is run. There is several good reasons for why yet I'd be hard pressed to say those aren't getting old. I might be a staffer at A3D now in some moderate capacity yet I'm also a fan.

I'm glad we got content this week but does that mean no update on anything else? Even just a breakdown of feedback from recently released content. We aren't asking for you to redo content but a discussion about releases would prevent a lot of the growing animosity.

A discussion about feedback would go a long way. I know they've never done it before, that's my point. IBT writes a small essay and others give bits of advice and opinions and it's just abandoned in the patreon comment section. It would be nice to have an update about input.

Right, so what would they update you on? What is there to discuss? "Thanks for the input!" There's no "there" there. It's just a token effort which is already partly covered by weekly updates as they currently exist, and then partly covered by the voting that gets done. And even the votes sometimes scream "Don't let the community decide this because you already know the result" Miro already replies to certain elements of feedback in the comments section as it is. I don't know, I'd just rather they spend time delivering substantive content rather than being obligated to address in detail every point of feedback.

For what it's worth (meaning, not much) ... within hours of the last text update where it was revealed that there discussions of world building and character development for Blood Lust were picking up internally, I emailed miro and Marie letting them know that I'd like to participate in those discussions to help get the story elements for Bloodlust and the character continuity sorted out better than it has been up until now so that there's a coherent story being told going forwards (and not just a collection of sex scenes that happen "just because"). Since then ... nothing. Not even a response of "thanks for contacting us but we've got this and don't need your input." We do have a discord server, it's possible to implement subs to it, as Discord is far better than here for comments, if you don't have one.... welp get one lol it's decent, however I can get that looked into/setup if people actually want it.

Yeah discord is a fundamentally different level of interaction I'm not personally into as far as porn/sexual content goes. As much as I enjoy this content, I prefer to keep these things compartmentalized away from other hobbies. Discord is for gaming (for my headspace) Large Discord servers are pure, unfettered chaos anyhow, regardless of moderation.

Don't let me stop you. Go for it. I'm not important. Live chatting just isn't forums. They're two different use-cases for me. I prefer forums for detailed discussions over shoot-from-the-hip chats that normally are used for gaming spheres. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, I agree with EmEm, if we could get forums I think that would be better than a live feed thing like discord. If there no chance of us getting a thread page or forums, discord is better than nothing. Ill redownload it for that alone.
