Episode 5 for me is a rare weakly written episode of this wonderful series. It's still full of good stuff, but (A) the food truck story comes out of nowhere -- reactors often wonder if they've missed an episode somehow, but no, we're in the middle of it without any preparation. And (B) Holt's "tell" is ridiculous; he uses contractions all the time, listen to any episode of the series. It's impossible to sound natural as a speaker of English, even someone as formal and proper as Holt, without using contractions. (If the idea is that he uses them "more often" when lying, by what metric do we measure their frequency in a short conversation?)
