For a while now, my family of three has been coming to call, and these are the bold ones who don't fear me. (But thankfully haven't perched on me yet.) In the afternoons, sometimes I get a singleton, and this particular crow is wary of me, and likes to yammer at me. It's not aggressive, but it is talkative and doesn't want to come close.

That straggler's vanished... maybe. Because now, I'm getting four crows at a time, and three of them are clearly my family from earlier, and the fourth clings to a branch a bit away from them, and doesn't come close when I set out the peanuts. I wonder if this is Loner Crow, who's been talked into coming with Family of Three.

Family of Three: You're scared for nothing. The dopey biped who speaks our language poorly is harmless, and a source of good foods. You come with us, we'll show you.

Loner Crow: KAW BIPEDS ALIENS FREAKISH

Family of Three: Seriously, relax.

Loner Crow: AWK WEIRD HAIR LIKE A FLOWER BUT NOT TOTALLY DECEPTIVE KAW AWK

Family of Three: The crest fur is bizarre, granted. But peanuts. Just come with us. If you're so scared. We'll protect you or something. From the biped. Who gives us peanuts. *much eye rolling*

Loner Crow: AWWWWWW I WILL SIT ON THIS BRANCH AND BARK AT HER

Family of Three: Don't mind the weirdo. Peanuts! Peanuts, Odd Biped!

That photo is one of the three bold ones. As you can see, he's right outside the door I use to get in and out.

Birb! I am jealous, I can't get the neighborhood crows to visit me.

Nice of the family of three to more-or-less sorta kinda include the loner. I bet you eventually he becomes *extra* sweet on you.
