It's Time Someone Asked the Question (Patreon)

In possibly the worst song ever produced that for some reason continues to be played, a man and woman snipe at each other over a terrible synth bed. There's a lot to comment on but let me ask this question: She was "working as a waitress at a cocktail bar" 'til she met Him but he claims her (unnamed) success was all his and that at anytime "her could put her back there, too", to her cocktail waitress job. 

How?! Who has the power to make someone return to a job as a waitress at a cocktail bar? Is he the owner of the bar? Well, then that only raises more questions. Is he a friend of the owner? Does he have her family restrained in a murder basement somewhere in London? What is her success?! What part did he play in it?! Neither person is likeable nor can either sing well at all so what is going on?! 

The song came out forty years ago but now is the time to get to the bottom of this.
