Hello patrons! I appreciate your patience during this long update cycle; this update is a MONSTER but it's also rad as heck.

With the update nearly complete, it's important that it is thoroughly tested and battle-hardened before we deploy it to all users. This is why I'm looking for folks to do some worldbuilding on the development server in order to find bugs and provide feedback for the experience.

If you are interested in doing this, please hop on the Discord and send me a message with your email. I'll give you access to a Discord channel where you can access the preview build, the bug board, discuss issues, etc. I'm building a full import/export feature, so you should be able to move a project built on the preview to the production version once it's launched, if you are so inclined.

Just as an FYI, the development server is by definition unstable, and is not 100% feature-complete with the production version. There might be bugs and such that impact the experience; in fact, I hope there is, because that's exactly what we're trying to find. ;P

EDIT: To clarify, the dev server is a completely separate deployment of LK. They don't interact at all; if you choose to make a project on the development server, it has no affect on your project on the production server. :D

Features on the preview build:

  • Offline support for the atlas and wiki; you can edit while offline and changes are synced upon reconnecting
  • High performance--almost all actions are instant
  • Browser tabs and windows sync more consistently with each other, preventing inter-tab conflicts
  • Offline search
  • Offline export (for articles; currently working on full-project)
  • Duplication now includes sub-articles
  • Smoother template workflow
  • Templates can include sub-templates, allowing you to create complex templating schemes.
  • Map uploads still require a connection, but once you have viewed a map tile, it's available offline

Anyways, hit me up! The dev build is pretty great; just need to iron out the kinks.
