Home Artists Posts Import Register

Content

This change is the first of a few updates intended to streamline access control in LegendKeeper. The permissions system is powerful, but unwieldy, and we'd like to offer some one-click solutions for common scenarios.

Show and Hide

Admins can click the eye icon in the wiki sidebar to hide an article. A hidden article and its sub-articles are only visible to admins, no matter what  permissions are set to. This is the "just hide it!" button. An article in the hidden state has a crossed-out eye next to it, and its sub-articles are de-emphasized.

The hidden state has a number of uses:

  • Controlling access to articles that don't need complex permissions.
  • Temporarily hiding articles while you set up properly scoped permissions.
  • Hiding unfinished or draft articles.

If you are a DM that doesn't intend to give your players granular permissions, but would still like to control what they see, you can manage access entirely through hiding and unhiding articles. If you ever need more fine-grained control, you can always drop into the permission system as necessary.

Tag Filtering

While filtering by tags, irrelevant articles are de-emphasized.

Map Pins

Hidden map pins are now transparent. This isn't an ideal solution for answering the question "Which pins are hidden?", but it's a step in the right direction. Personally, I think opacity is not a good indicator here due to how colorful maps can be, but we'll iterate on this and make it better.

Bug Fixes

Fixed incorrect gold/yellow color in pins.

Pin labels and icons on the atlas now update without requiring a refresh.

Fixed a crash when viewing an activity feed with the "Move" event as a non-admin.

Fixed a few bugs related to icon presentation width.

A near-future update will make permissions editing just as easy as this show and hide feature.

As always, let me know what you think, and report any bugs via the Discord or the feedback button in the app.

Have fun!

Braden
