Like nearly every year we are spending our summer holidays in Italy and we already finished our 1st week which I would like to share some impressions from with you.

I will be quite busy when I am back because the Free Pro 3 sample should have already arrived by then. Allegedly it uses a QCC3072 chip which hopefully offers better quality than the Airoha chip. The sample unit should already have a setting from Earfun applied, and when looking at the screenshot with their settings, the DSP seems to be quite powerful and could offer plenty of filters to work with. By applying the inverse filters of their settings I can also simulate the raw response for my own further tuning. Maybe they will even offer me direct access to the DSP, but without having a solid contract with them first I won’t even touch it and waste my time for nothing.

Therefore I want to optimise my final EQ for the Free Pro 2 First to achieve a usable graph which I could maybe transform over onto the Free Pro 3 if this may become a real cooperation with Earfun.

I also want to start my EQ for the HD6XX after my return, with some further Sennheiser headphones to follow, but honestly with all the “attention” I was getting on my recent videos from Youtube complaining that my EQs are behind a paywall I am not sure if it makes any sense to spend any more time on all this and not find some more lucrative ways to survive instead.

Since my video I managed to attract 9 new Patrons for the enthusiast level, thanks guys you are welcome and I hope you find something useful here. But if you do some math that’s just 0.005% of my 180000 subscribers. At the same time I lost 4 enthusiast Patrons, thus instead of really growing my support from you is continuously going down, that’s the sad truth. I am maybe not trustable or whatever but my days are numbered. Just wanted to let you know that I am not sure how long I can manage to keep my enthusiasm for all this.

Thanks to all and wish you a great summer!
