I had to reupload the video because the recording had some imbalance. My current microphones lost some sensitivity on one side and although I tried to compensate for this, the speaker recording appeared still too far to the left.

The compensation I used for this recording is based on flattening the response of my equalised HD58X in order to make it sound like itself when listened over itself. To check how the other headphones appeared through the recording I did some listening tests and can state that those sound in fact very close to the real headphone. I will need to do further tests to also fine tune my speaker recordings. As the response of my equalised HD58X deviates from the flat KH80 in some parts the KH80 appear slightly wrong sounding through my recording. I hoped to be able to get away with a single global compensation regardless if I capture speakers or headphones but maybe I will need to compensate slightly differently in both cases.

Sennheiser HD58X - Oluv's neutral EQ sound demo vs unequalised, HD800S & DT880 Pro

In this video I wanted to demonstrate again how my EQ for the HD58X compares to its stock sound but also to the HD800S and to the Beyerdynamic DT880 Pro still using the Neumann KH80 as neutral reference. The drastic difference in detail and transparency when listening to the HD58X with my EQ to the other headphones is in fact as shocking to me as well. Keep in mind that my sound samples are as unbiased as possible and should also represent “neutral” as good as possible. I did lots of listening tests to check if the recorded headphones sound in fact like themselves and when listening over the HD58X with my Eq the recording represents the real headphones very faithfully. In future I will prepare some videos comparing recordings of headphones to the real ones to prove my claims. See my recordings as “measurements” which you can hear instead of looking at graphs. The premise is that you listen over a really “neutral” headphone, which is what my EQ is going to offer you. There was no other way to offer realistic neutral sounding binaural sound samples than achieving a really neutral sound profile for a headphone first, which is what I tried to achieve for so long. Please understand that I cannot offer my EQs for free to everyone to let others benefit from my hard work and maybe even let them take the credit for it. I will soon try to offer a free EQ for a cheap headphone which everyone can afford, but don’t except the same high quality results as sample variation is usually much higher on cheap headphone models. Always appreciate a headphone video. You might not do these too often, but my patience is legendary.

Oluv, you really need to promote this eq offer. Its incredible what you're doing yet most people do not realise it, maby you could give your eq to some other "audiophile" channels and ask if they'd want to do a video?

Did you try it by yourself with a HD58X or simply by judging the video? The sound in the video maybe only representative for myself. It may sound completely different to someone else.
