I updated and finetuned my final EQ setting found in this sepearte posting here. I want to keep that post rather clean and will always update that one with my latest EQ versions in case I do some correction to them afterwards. Keep in mind that all this is still a kind of "work in progress". My whole target may still change a bit in future and I may try to optimise it, so that my EQs can also improve over time, therefore I also usually add a rough date to all of them, so that you know "how old" the given EQ setting is.

I also had to correct my own resonance frequency I am getting with the Free Pro up to 6300Hz from the original 6250Hz. For me it is extremely important to know exactly where I hear my peak because I need to be able to reproduce this result with my couplers precisely to be able to measure correctly and adjust my tunings for other resonances accordingly. The importance of being able to measure what I am actually hearing cannot be stressed enough, because I cannot do those other tunings by ear except if I could "simulate" that kind of hearing somehow (btw. I am currently working on that). I must adjust them to my target precisely and hope you will get more or less the same sound I am getting. For you it shouldn't matter that much if you seem to hear it at 6500 or 6600, even 6700 shouldn't matter that much. But for me it's extremely important to know this value precisely for any IEM I am going to tune. The frequency will change of course depending on which IEM you use, which tip or how deep you insert it, just to let you know.

I also "cleaned" up my final 6300Hz EQ and fine tuned it more to get an even smoother response without drifting away too much from the "neutral" target. I want to keep these as neutral as possible with as little coloration as possible, but at the same time they shall remain customizable and tunable to ones taste, therefore I will try to keep a similar structure for all my upcoming settings in future if possible.

This is the new setting for 6300Hz:

And it replaces the following setting which I just wanted to add in case you want to compare them directly somehow, but IMO the updated setting sounds smoother especially in the upper mids and is even closer to the target. At the same time I had to reduce bass by 1dB. Although it was fun with 1dB more, I think with the current setting you get a more neutral representation.

By cleaning up the setting I could gain one additional filter, which is not used now but can of course be used for further corrections at your side. (just change the filter amount to 10 and you get access to the last empty one). Another filter is not used either but is set up to be used as some kind of "clarity" control this is the last filter with 10000hz frequency. Adjust that to taste if you prefer more treble just add 1-2dB and change the frequency if you want more boost in the lower or higher treble region. This filter shouldn't screw up the overall balance much or add coloration as it acts in a broad area. The same goes for bass of course which you can adjust to your own taste. The current "bass curve" is quite natural as is which means the bass frequencies to each other sound pretty correct to me compared to my reference, but you can of course control the total amount of bass with this filter. Thus: first and last filters within my settings should work as direct bass/treble control.

To confuse you even more I tried to use this new setting for one of my other units and had to adjust some settings to get exactly the same response like from my reference unit. The biggest changes are mostly in the upper treble region, both these units tend to differ by several dB. I also had to use the "spare" filter to "shape" the final curve closer to my target, so here it is, maybe this sounds better with your particular unit.

I think so far I am done with the verification of my target, I took several further hours of listening and optimising it which resulted in an even smoother response in the upper mids. It sounds pretty solid and neutral to me. So far I have not heard another IEM with that kind of sound and I am going to prepare my manual filters for the other frequencies next. I hope those will sound just as good to you like this one sounds to me. Please give me some time to prepare those as it is a bit more complex to actually not hear what I am adjusting.
