My final take on the Beolit 20, compared to the Fugoo XL, Audio Pro C3 and VIFA Helsinki.

I will try preparing some measurements next if the weather allows it.

Have you been able to get it to connect ? How about the app, did you have success?

Nice Video! As you said "it's not a party speaker" I thought about if you do a party speaker test this year? Summer is near, time for party outdoor. I don't know if you heard the JBL partybox 310 before, its getting cheaper, and I really like the sound. Its like the partybox 100 but more defined, more mature. So, If you find some time and money, it would be really nice to compare some :D

If this was 350€ maybe then i w'd regard it as decent but this way at 500 and such particular sound that then gets un-impressive for its size, its a bit meh, well anyways i do like its design and i do agree that to some degree its not bad, even prefer it quite a bit more than the marshall tufton maybe against such compareable speaker.

I could borrow a 310 from Mediamarkt and compare it to my 100 maybe but those outdoor videos at such high levels are always a pain in the ass to shoot, therefore I probably won’t like to go through all the hassle. Then people will start to ask for a comparison of the 310 with the 300, and then the Soundboks and some other Sony crap etc... I am somehow not that interested into that type of speakers. Minirigs are somehow the biggest I would like to tout around. Maybe something like the Diamondboxx M but simply better overall could be interesting but it’s also a bit largish. The Sounddock Portable somehow hat the sweetspot between size/volume power etc I really loved it back then.

The Tufton is even larger and more than twice as heavy. And in the end I was not that impressed overall. The Beolit somehow has more soul to the tuning just missing some stereo and power at high levels.

A Helsinki Gen 2 with exposed PR's, tweeters, replaceable battery, and best of all, you overseeing the tuning? My pulse rate just went through the roof! Can you possibly make that happen? Crowd funding, perhaps?

Little OT guys, sorry about that but i am desperate and I hope someone could help. I just bought a Copenhagen 2.0 but somehow it seems impossible to use the VIFA Home app in order to connect to it and change the eq to night mode. Does anyone knows a workaround?

Are you using the new app which was released recently? It worked well with the old app which was removed when VIFA office in Denmark was closed. The new app was released not long ago and although I tried it I do not own the Copenhagen anymore. But it discovered my Audiopro A36 speakers as both obviously use the same streaming system. But of course I couldn’t change any settings although tunings were all available it wouldn’t do anything to my speaker. You are connected to Wifi with both speaker and your phone? Otherwise the app won’t work.

Dear Oluv Thank you for taking the time to answer! Yes, I am using the latest official version of Vifa Home. I also tried already to download older versions of the same app but still it did not work. From my understanding you should make a direct wifi connection between phone and speaker which I can achieve manually in the wifi setting of the phone, still the app does not recognise any speaker. I would love to be able to love the speaker but without night mode I am afraid I will never be able to. If anyone already found a solution it would be very appreciated!

I´ll try it tomorrow. I have the old and the new app. I´ll be back

Thank you for your answer. Yes, we are talking about android.

Woah that sure is a LOT of investment, sure if one knows a bit of everything(also supporting the work itself) and team up with the community maybe we could, still its very hard, and unless a miracle would appen, both ways really wouldn t pay off. Witch is sad this fate of vifa speakers, speacially the helsinki..

Sorry I didn't find the time to try it out. I hope this weekend I can give you more information.

No worries. It´s already great you are going to do it. I can also speak German if that would be more convenient for you.

Vielen Dank!

I only have the Helsinki. But the current VIFA home app recognises my Audio Pro speakers, thus it should definitely work. Maybe your VIFA speaker has some problem?

I am gonna leave it here in case someone is looking for the same information. I have contacted the Vifa support and they have confirmed me that the actual official store app could cause problems. They sent me per email the same app I mentioned in the post before and advised me to use it instead of the newest one. Unfortunately I can still not connect to the IP address of the speaker in order to set the wifi connection to my home wifi (the address shown in the app seems to not work). In case vifa will help with that I´ll update the post.
