To weaken the anticipation for the Q35 I would like to give you some of my first impressions and immediately post some measurements.

To cut the story short: save yourself from getting it if you already have a Q30 or simply get a Q30 instead. I am not sure what the big improvement should be here for twice the price of the Q30, because sound wise it is a step backwards.

The default tuning is even boomier than it was on the Q30, with normal mode and default EQ there is more than 20dB bass boost, crazy! But even with the custom EQ you cannot tame the sound at all, as visible in the comparative measurements of the Q35 and Q30.

At least the different ANC modes (indoor, outdoor, traffic) do not change the sound, but that doesn't matter anyhow with that horrible basics.

Stay away from it, which seems just some marketing gag to pull your money again for a flawed product which performs worse than the predecessor. Well done Anker, what an achievement!

Thanks for that 'info... Was really excited about the release actually. But also with normal and transparency mode sounding so much more different than anc mode, I don't really see much of an improvement at all. Especially for the extra price. I also wish they would include a usefull transparency mode that would actually sound natural.

For what it's worth, I believe the the Q35 has better call quality than the Q30 (maybe the only pro), but it is also more unstable (halfway through some of my calls, the call becomes choppy and requires me to power cycle the headphones). You would hope they can fix the over exaggerated bass via firmware.

I think the transparency mode sounds a lot more natural than the Q30.

Lol! In their announcement they talked about how they listen to customer feedback. Did people really complain about too little bass? They will sell like hotcakes anyway because of the review hype bussiness so i dont think they even care that much.

Thank you for your outstanding work, Oluv! I was initially interested in the q35 due to the play/pause feature and LDAC but that means nothing if they cannot even compare with the q30s for a fraction of the price. I also wanted to ask what firmware version you are running on the q30s. There is an update available for me but I was unsure if it changed the sound signature (1.80 to 2.1). Thanks again!

Same here, was anticipating the Q35s, hoping for something better as the Q30s sounded already great (I even canceled my order of Q30 which were actually ready to ship on the same day). I'm really disappointed with this release... I will re-order the Q30 now, oh well... Thanks to Oluv once agian for his no bs and a rational look on life in general :)

Having watched a video where they have recorded the Q35s microphone quality, they seem to sound about as bad as the Q30 to me.

Oluv - thank you ! you are probably the only unbiased person around. all other "reviewers" who received the headset have drooled over this stupid double price marketing stunt - without mentioning the exaggerated bass boost or sound signature change. again - with your quick post and conclusion, you completely proved again you're great !

Thanks for the insights! Have you already checked the mics/call quality of the Q35?

I only tried transparency mode on both and the Q30 sounds more mid-focused and honky, the Q35 seems to sound more natural but at the same time the ambient sound is softer. I can hear my own voice better with the Q30, on the Q35 it appears rather muted not even comparable to the transparency mode of the AirPods Max. I couldn’t say which I prefer Q30 or Q35 as both are not that great, I would never use these modes

I dont know why these Q35 cost 130$ where Q30 you can by for 70$ on sale. There is no particular deference in build quality or new (killer) features so I will go for Q30 with your EQ. I am waiting for Q40 and then will be majority changes (I hope :) )

Haha, no. The codec is the least important factor here.

Too bad, I had a Q35 order en route before seeing this post... T_T

Hi oluv , i appreciate your first impression. i have Q30 and Q35 , but at Q35 i don´t got to experience in EQ , can you share your EQ´s custom from Q35 ? . Thanks you very much again

Please could we have an eq for these? I think you could save these or at least a little closer to the q30

I tried, but it sounds way worse and is too bassheavy even with bass dialed down completely.
