I did some first measurements of the Emyprean measured with my own ears (in white my HD600 as reference).

I am going to meet up with Oratory1990 next week and let this unit measure with his GRAS system. Not sure if I got a dud or if my ears are to blame, but the peak at 5khz and the excessive treble boost don't look normal to me.

You should talk with him about your headphone project, as an acoustic engineer he has great knowlege in designing headphones and good contacts, maybe he can help you out.. Btw have you already checked out his eq for the Hd58x? I'm really interested what you think

I see sonarworks has a profile on soundid for the normal earfun free pro. Im curious how that would sound compared to the oe.

Just tried it sounds completely colored to me: I could only test the included demo tracks though, there is no way to play own music which is annoying. But within SoundID I even prefer the regular Earfun Free Pro without their profile

For me it works with most apps like spotify and youtube. I cant try it as i dont have the regular free pro.

It works on your phone or at the Pc? I don’t even have the option for spotify etc. Only test demo

On my phone. When i start playing something on spotify it also gives a notification that its activated with the option to turn it off.

On android(galaxy s10 plus) I can just use the regular spotify app btw. Not in the soundid app like it was the case with the true fi app.

Bummer that it won’t on iOS. But finally Drop has updated the Panda so I can try it out with their profile

Do you use eq to dial down the bass on the earfuns btw or do you just leave it? If so what is the adjustment? Also just out of curiosity i checked if my hd600 have this same peak at 7-7,5 khz and to my surprise i hear something very similar using a sinesweep. But i measure it as louder in that area with a db meter aswell on both. Maybe a little more on the hd600. Something like 8 db i think but i didnt go too scientific. I dont know what to make of it. I just like checking details like that sometimes🤓. maybe im crazy.

I listen to the Earfun without any adjustments. Sometimes I would prefer a bit less bass especially with boomy modern recordings, but audiophile recordings sound just fine therefore I blame it on bad recordings if it’s too much bass haha

Hast du schon eine Messung machen lassen können mit GRAS ?

oluvsgadgets

Es gibt einige Messungen im Netz, auch Crinacle hat ihn gemessen steckt ihn aber viel zu tief rein.
