Attached are both my EqualizerAPO EQs (full version and the simplified one).

I would like to know if these EQs work for you, or if you find them too thin or somehow nasal sounding like some had claimed. I think it depends a lot on the on-ear design, which doesn't give a good coupling with all ear shapes.

Sony MDR-ZX110 - "audiophile highend" sound for $10?

I hoped that it was the B, but just as I thought, the solution was A.

Lots of patreons got it right, pretty impressive.

When you talk about the forum, what do you exactly mean? which forum?

listening to it with my Sony MDR-ZX110 the complex seems to open it up more. But yes out of the box unusable but with EQ, salvageable especially for the price. There's another Sony cheapo the out of production Sony MDR-MA100 that NoThemeReviews likes. I picked up the MDR-ZX110 to play around with from Amir's review. At least it's compact.

What´s interesting for me is how long do you need to come to this setting? You showed us many of bad sounding headphones and so the question is for me: If you can do this, why all these brands deliver often such a bad sound? You are not a magician.

The difference between the full EQ and simplified is quite small, I think. BTW, what software are you using for EQ? - Equalizer APO seem to be unavailable for Mac OS.

I genuinely doubt the sonys will compete with a meze but I will say, MAN that meze has terrible tonality, its just tin

Well although cheap sounding and quality for 10$ the sony's sound better than what i could say than most other headphones at the same price although not usable for me, but with these tweaks tho, i think was all i could have for now on, it would could be enough for a man to survive while "enjoying" them.

I have the Sony MDR-ZX600 which looks very similar to the ZX110. I don't use them much anymore, but I never got rid of them because I thought they were decent headphones for the price. I forget the exact amount but I think I paid no more than $40 Canadian for them. Listening to the ZX600 with your full EQ was a lot of fun - they suddenly became much more expensive sounding headphones! Great work, Oluv!

Great EQ Oluv! I see 2 bands for 90Hz Filter: ON PK Fc 90 Hz Gain -11 dB Q 0.3333 Filter: ON PK Fc 90 Hz Gain -1 dB Q 1.5165

oluvsgadgets

One is a broad band reduction and the other one reduces a narrow area at 90hz as I assumed that was the area which caused the issues with bass distortion

I got the sony and i have to say it sounds really good with this eq. Soundid does a pretty good job aswell. I think yours is slightly smoother and more open/airy. What would you say is the biggest difference?

oluvsgadgets

Between both profiles? I really don’t know S I haven’t measured them. But I made mine by ear so maybe it’s not that precise as theirs. I should measure both to see the differences

Well to me they sound very similar atleast with my music. I could actualy enjoy music like this if it wasnt for the fact that i cant wear on ear headphones for more then 15 minutes. I got it just for laughs though. Its only €10.

Hey guys, If you download the "ZX110-simple.txt", there is an a negative in front of the 4db that's missing. It's preamp -4db, not 4db.
