I will release this video next week to the public but wanted to let you watch it already before. This video is part of my "contract" with Earfun, the follow up video will be the introduction of the Oluv's edition.

I didn't bash either of them, which I usually would do, as both sound really crappy to me out of the box with a way too boomy sound and simply being too colored overall. The Anker with its default settings sounds even harsher, but can be improved a bit through the Soundcore App, I posted my EQ setting below, although it's still far from really great like that.

I used the MiniDSP again to prepare the sound samples (despite the criticism from Mr. Dr. Sean Olive) as I still think that I get better and more reliable results out ot if than from my IEC711 couplers. I know exactly how to insert the IEMs into the MiniDSP to get a result comparable to what I am actually hearing, while with the IEC711 couplers insertion depth is pretty vague and I will need to invest way more time to actually get something usable out of it, maybe I will even have to get a different pair of couplers.

I didn't mention the AAC issues of the regular Earfun Free Pro, as obviously nobody so far really complained about that, but it was the first issue I heard when I tried them for the very first time and I am glad we could sort this out for the Oluv's edition which will play completely clean with no artefacts.

Earfun Free Pro vs Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro - TWS ANC IEMs

I bought the liberty Air 2 Pro and returned them. Just didn't sound good and I couldn't find any eq settings that work.

Out of the box the Ankers hurt my ears. A couple of days ago I saw a German Youtuber talk about this IEM`s and he praised them. All of whom are purchased and biased.

Read the entire post with your voice in my head.

Does Earfun have a mode that lets you hear everything (or at least voices)? I hate to take those TWS out to have a short conversation (with a cashier etc.)

Yes “ambient sound” or how I called it: transparency mode. But it’s softer than hearing in real life. It works for talking with someone but you need to stop music to hear your surrounding well
