Sony SRS-XB33 vs Denon Envaya DSB250 - after midnight listening session #4

In the end no winner here, thats why i was so interested to see this comparison although the broad effect here on the sony appeared slightly different from what i was thinking, but in my opinion, denon with that effect was better in most cases while with the effect on sony it differed also as we could see to not make it sound boring, in somes cases worse while other even better so less consistent there but also more dependent, Ofc it also sounded bigger, more lower bass and bright treble on sony, and a bit more on mids and of bass and treble on denon.

Excellent Video. Both sound amazing but it's really hard to pick a winner here. Sure, the Sony has bit of a size advantage and sounds more enjoyable but the Denon is just simply better for listening at volumes below 50%. The Bass on the XB33 really impressed me but was overpowering below 50% vol. The DSB-250BT is now 3 years old and its phenomenal how it still holds its own. I think it's about time Denon launched a new Envaya.

Ist gestern endlich gekommen, ist schon bemerkenswert wie gut der spielt und für den Preis. Ist auch sehr leicht...

The elephant in the room - a full-sized elephant - is the Denon can't hold a charge.

I don't really like the light effects of the Sony. They always remind me of the cheap-o crappy "12000W PMPO" speakers. A huge company like Sony could make some really good looking designs...

Have the SRS XB33 in color „Taupe“. And lights are switched off. Though this is the most eye -pleasing combination for me and build quality is good - it definetely is not a design winner. Sadly…

Bought exactly the same color for this reason. I sometimes leave the light on with a static color. I now ordered a second one to use it as a stereo pair, I'm curious if it will sound good, but since the "Live" mode on a single on at least attempts to get some broader range, it may really helps with two in stereo

Great, can you give me a small impression how the stereo paired XB33 sounds like? I am thinking about ordering a second speaker also… Thanks!

And yes: Sometimes I also use a static color. Mostly orange or blue then. :-)
