Sprite Preview: Rachel outfit additions! (Swimsuit) (Patreon)

[This post may contain possible minor spoilers linked to the character Rachel for some outfits that haven't been seen in-game yet. You have been warned, proceed with caution.]

This is a exciting to share with everyone! I have a small preview for a new outfit coming for Rachel during her route. These outfits you're about to view are redesigned, but the old outfit versions will still be in-game as a unlocked piece of content.

That said, let's jump right into this preview and discuss it!

Firstly let's begin with the comparison of her current/old swimsuit design (Pictured left) vs her new swimsuit (Pictured right).

Why the redesign?

Rachel's old or current swimsuit on the left isn't terrible, but I wanted to have something a little more suited to Rachel as a character. If you can't tell by now, Rachel reaaaaally love animals.. Maybe a little too much, causing her to daydream about how adorable they can be at times.. ^^"

With her favorite plushie being Mr. Whiskers, a tiger. I thought, why not have her swimsuit design be a little bit more modest given her shy nature for one.. But also make it themed after a tiger print to sort of link it back to her favorite plushie. But really any animal themed design would've probably worked well for her.

And yes.. She does have a tiger headband with fluffy little ears. :P 

The tail is permanently attached to the swimsuit, which may beg the question.. Wouldn't it just get in the way of her swimming? Maybe it'd cause awkward issues with it possibly floating above the water or trying to rise to the surface? Well.. We'll have to see about how that sorts itself in-game when the time comes! 

Also, you may notice that Rachel's hairstyle in the preview isn't her typical style for her hair seen in-game. This is how she has her hair for some fitting moments, one being during swim related tasks. She puts her hair into a single ponytail.

As mentioned, Rachel's old swimsuit will be seen in-game still as part of a unlocked piece of content that players can choose to have it reflect that outfit or they can choose to go with things by default as well even if they have the old one unlocked.

But wait! There's more! It'd seem.. That for some reason, there's a player related choice to be made that'll reflect which swimsuit Rachel wears?! The modest tiger one (Pictured below on the right) or a more sexy tiger one (Pictured below on the left). 

[This is the end of the post! What follows below is some spoilers related to v0.20 to explain the story related reason for the differing versions of this swimsuit to be seen based on player choices made in episode 5.]

During episode 5, there's a point where it's made known that there's going to be a swim related class coming up again. Rachel makes it known that she's been looking to order a new swimsuit since she's had her old one ever since she first came to the academy nearly 3 years ago, seeking some change.

The player has a few choices for how to respond to this that affect if Rachel's new swimsuit that arrives for the swim class early in her route is the sexy tiger swimsuit that is ordered by mistake supposedly, or if she orders the more modest version. This also affects dialogue during the swim class. :P
