Sprite Preview: Juliet outfit additions! (Gymnastic/Swimsuit) (Patreon)

[This post may contain possible minor spoilers linked to the character Juliet, to do with some outfits to be seen for her during her route. You have been warned, proceed with caution or turn back now.]

I'm happy to share two outfit additions for Juliet that'll be coming for her route, these two outfits aren't exactly new or surprising if you're a older fan from long before the Ren'py engine swap back in late 2020.. But these two outfits have been redesigned to better fit Juliet as a character as a whole!

With that said... Let's jump into these previews and discuss what we're looking at!

Okay! Let's begin with Juliet's newly redesigned swimsuit! ^^

As we can see above, this is a comparison between Juliet's old swimsuit design (pictured left) vs her new design (pictured right). Why the redesign?

Well! With Juliet's old swimsuit, I felt as if it didn't seem as flashy or not as uniquely crafted.. It felt a bit too plain for someone like Juliet. Juliet is supposed to be a well known princess around the academy, someone who has been sheltered their whole life in the comfort of royalty and pampered. So naturally it makes sense that for Juliet, her tastes in clothing are meant to feel rich and uniquely one of a kind as if hand created just for her.

So with this in mind... We can look at the new design and see how this more rich and unique look comes together, from the more complex designed outfit in general to the rich frilly sheer material of her luxurious swimsuit. It gives a better sense of her character in a personal sense for what you'd expect someone like her to be wearing and how other's around her might misjudge her based on this.

I really find that the lighter blue tones fit Juliet well, I know with this outfit it's a bit more of a teal color than it is straight up blue. But these tones from a design point of view for her character just seem very fitting for her and so we'll see that theme in some of her other outfits for the game.

The gold accents added to the swimsuit are subtle, yet very fitting and over all. I really think this new swimsuit for Juliet is better suited for her, but worry not!... I know some of you might like some of these older designs and I'm happy to share that the old swimsuit will be in the game still for her as a unlockable option to come across. (It'll show her wearing that outfit instead for moments when she's wearing a swimsuit.) 

Moving on... Let's take a look at the next outfit... Juliet's newly redesigned gymnastics outfit! :P

As we can see above, this is a comparison between Juliet's old gymnastic outfit design (pictured left) vs her new design (pictured middle/right). Why the redesign?

Similar to the reasons for Juliet's swimsuit redesign, I felt that each student at the academy might have their own personal gymnastic leotards and so it feels like something that'd deserve a more personal touch, as if it came straight from Juliet's closet from home!

With her old design it was much more simpler and didn't quite fit any theme needed, but the idea originally was that it'd work okay for her in the basics for gymnastics at the academy. Well... Much like her swimsuit, I thought that having a personal outfit would work better in this case. 

Looking at Juliet's new designed leotard, we can see that quite a bit has changed! We can see that the lighter blue tones er.. Teal tones make a appearance here as well! There's a bit of similarities to her personal swimsuit and much of the design mentality for that outfit applies with this one, that her personal gymnastic leotard should feel as if it came personally from Juliet's closet at home. It should feel uniquely crafted for her in terms of being rich quality, but very fitting to a well known princess of royalty.

So we can see a lot of the same with the leotard sharing this rich unique theme from the puffy shoulder sleeves, slight frills along the over all design and the complexity of it all coming together to form this beautiful leotard for her that'd stop someone dead in their tracks when seeing her wearing it.

Of course we see some very subtle gold accents aligned with the outfit and I think it manages to fit pretty well with her diaper design, more than the original leotard was able to.

On the far right, we have a simple gym jacket that was added. This I think should go without saying it's something more related to what the academy offers for outfit/clothing given to students while staying there. But the gym jacket is a minor additional touch to be seen when Juliet is preparing to do gymnastics later that day and might be roaming around, not wishing to be too revealed while walking around from point A to B. But we'd see this jacket come to use shortly after gymnastics are done and more or less used in ways like this. :P

Now, much like the old swimsuit... The old gymnastic leotard will still be in the game as a unlockable piece of content, which will function and work similar to the swimsuit. Any scenes that display Juliet in her gymnastics outfit would show her old design if you have it unlocked and wish to go that visual path.

With that... It about does it for this preview! This isn't all of Juliet's additions, as there's about 2-3 more. But these ones were going to be needed pretty soon and so they were tackled in preparation.
