Sprite art concept preview: Garnet Schmitz (Patreon)

It's been a little slow here this past week, but here's a little concept preview look at one of the upcoming support characters within Erika's route! :P Full preview will be shared here sometime shortly this week as she is nearly done.

Garnet Schmitz is the Literature club leader, some of you might recall her from the older versions of the game from before v0.14.

I don't have too much to say about her right now until our full preview, but in terms of concept design. I wanted to revisit the earlier scripts with her dialogue from 2020 and get a good sense of how she would look visualized from mentions already within the script and also just filling in the gaps.

I had a pretty good sense of her character wise already in mind even back then, that she would give off this bookworm, sort of doesn't stick out of a crowd look about her. Sort of seen as more of a introverted person that spent more time with reading or writing in her years at the academy and before.

There's a sense of awkward shyness within her, but it doesn't seem to hold her back in many ways outside of dealing with guys. She has a interest in really adorable cutesy stuff, even if she feels like it doesn't fit her and sort of lacks confidence in that sense.

Without big spoilers, Garnet will be seen within Erika's route at times when involved around the literature club and possibly some moments outside of that. Think of her similar to Rosa and Allie as supporting roles for Nova's character at times. (With that said, it doesn't mean Miki won't be around at times still or vice versa.)

Anyways, the full preview will of course show off more and go into better detail of her character details and bio. This is simply a early concept view of some progress so far to possibly get some hype going towards her character. :P
