Here's a very very early look at how the background art or rather the concept design of Miki's Dream is looking. :P

I've mentioned it in one of the news posts I think last month, but the bg artist tackling this art piece seen here isn't our original bg artist who did the rest of our bg art. Our original bg artist got back to me and let me know the concept design was a bit out of their realm of comfort sadly, but maybe in the future we'll see her do some more art for the project. ^^

Either way, the bg artist tackling this piece mentioned having a fever late last week, leading into the weekend and I just received this early concept preview from them today. Based on that and what they told me when hiring them, they mentioned they'd be able to get the art done in a week originally.

So, that might end up meaning that Miki's Dream release won't quite fall on the 5th after all, as one week from today would roughly be the 8th. I'll need another day or two to fully see if they surprise me in progress and if it'll be ready quicker, but I'd just say be prepared for a slight delay until roughly Feb 8-10th. >.< (Just to be safe)

Anyways, I know there isn't too much going on yet in this preview. The bg art location is based on the main hall location within Miki's Dream. Given how many locations there is in her dream, it goes without saying we can't really do unique art for each location, keeping budget in mind and also we'd be talking 15+ locations. <.< Which to compare, the main game of MA has give or take around that many and took about 4-6 months to get through all that art.

Instead, to help keep track of your location. In the upper right corner of the screen during Miki's Dream, it'll have a label that lists which location you're in to help keep track of things. There isn't crazy, wild paths to make the content a giant maze, but for some spots it'll help out. :P
