Kickstarter launch update #5 (date confirmed!) (Patreon)

First off, since this month is changing our normal schedule of releasing game updates. Instead of new updates at the end of a given month, it's now within the first week of a new month. So we're about 2 days from seeing a new patreon exclusive and public update released. (Sept 4th) So things for our posts are a little off than how we normally do them in the past months.
Anyways, that aside the main reason for this post is kickstarter news right? Well I have some good news to share with everyone.
Let's just kick it off right away! Our kickstarter for Messy Academy will launch on Oct 5th! 100% confirmed, no more delays, we have everything ready before then. I'll explain further below, but those of you looking for a set in stone date. Mark your calendars or whatever means of reminding yourself, that Oct 5th we'll launch the kickstarter! (Don't worry, we'll continue to hype it up each week as we get closer to keep reminding everyone as well.)
Of course this only goes for those interested in supporting our kickstarter, as it'll mainly be seen as a huge funding towards pushing cg art forward. Having the base goal hit will allow us to put our artist or artists to their max demand on a monthly basis without having to slow down due to monthly funding from patreon. (Patreon funding still helps us greatly and will continue for the future, so regardless how the kickstarter turns out. We'll try our best to hit demands within our funding.)
Okay... So to move on and explain, why we now have a set in stone date? Well, luckily I have found a video editor and they're pretty well known with doing visual novel trailers/opening movies with plenty of work to show under their belt.
After some discussing with them and sharing of details being hammered out for how the video will roughly flow and be like, I was told they'll be able to begin work by Sept 15th on our trailer. As they have another request ahead, but are known for a turnaround time of as little as 3 days up to 1-2 weeks max. They feel comfortable with setting the end of September as their deadline to have it finished.
So why is our launch date set for Oct 5th?
Well just to be on the safe side, in the event something small pops up and they need an extra day or two. It gives everyone involved some wiggle room to prepare and ensure everything is ready to go. We promise not to launch our kickstarter earlier than Oct 5th, as we don't want to mess anything up for those who expected that as the set date, only to find that we might've launched a week earlier than we said.
With all this said, all of us at Messy Studios are very aware of the world situation with many currently. While not everyone is struggling, we're aware that there are many who have been affected in some form or way due to the ongoing virus issues depending on where you live. So we fully understand if there's people who wish to support us, but simply are not able to due to said issues or even other issues. We'd just like to mention that it is okay, take care of yourselves of course. What happens with our kickstarter happens, if we're successful we'll do as we've been doing monthly and ensure that by mid 2021. MA will be around 75% finished or so. If we fail? We'll try launching our kickstarter again with a lower base goal and see how it goes.
