Hello hello everyone,
And welcome back to Targa Florio!


How are you all doing? Hope everyone is in good health! Don't forget to stretch, do some workout and drink enough water! :D

First of all, I'm aware that some of us got virus warning issue with the last update files. I promise you I didn't put anything strange inside them! XD

I'm really sorry for this. I've checked the files and they came out clean on my pc. The one thing that came to mind is that we now have a LUA script that control the staggered start countdown. Not that I suspect the script itself, but perhaps the existence of the script itself that triggered the warning. so this time, I included a version without the staggered start mode as an alternative. If you had virus warning, please try downloading this version and see if it solve the problem or not.

As for the update, We got the building models in Collesano done. Next would be the textures and rendering the ambient occlusion (not the VAO patch). 

When the textures and ao work on collesano is done, it means all the main models of the track is finished. "all" that's left is improving and enhancing. adding details, etc.

Originally, that is.

But we now have LIDAR and photogrammetry that we didn't have back when this project started.

The next plan after Collesano is done, I will be focusing on updating the track based on LIDAR and photogrammetry. But of course regular updates will still continue. We've thought of a way to update the track without destroying the current one, so don't worry lol.
And even though there will be some parts that will be remodeled, it's not like we're starting from scratch.

I'm actually looking forward to work on the next phase lol. The building models took quite a while since most of them are unique models based of photos that we have. I guess it's around 1200 buildings or something lol.

Another update for this version is the traffic for the track day mode. the u-turn for the ai traffic has been moved to near collesano, so we no longer will see congestion at floriopolis  XD. 

It turns out that I'm no good driving in traffic. in one lap, I had 4 head on collision with incoming cars :/ thanks to those slow ai I just couldn't help myself to overtake!

Anyway, here is the update build v.0.1.24

Another 'issue' with traffic right now is that there are no 70s car pack around at the moment. So it is kinda off to have modern cars strolling around.

So Beni is currently working on targa florio 70s carpack!


He will be releasing the pack separately and I will post the link here when it's ready so please look forward to it! :D

Just in case anyone hasn't seen it, I released the first car of the traffic pack today: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/traffic-pack-70s-italy.59531/ So this is for the AI traffic, drop the car in to your 'cars' folder, use the Track Day layout, pick this and/or other cars as opponents, make sure you have that AI flood setting in the CSP settings/new AI behavior set to 'active' and then it should work. If there are any more questions I'm in Italy for a week, so I might not be able to help, but I hope people can figure it out!

Hi everyone! I am getting this track because of GP laps as well. I am a late to the game I guess, I just watched the video last night and said to myself, "I gotta have this map!" This is by far the best map of this track EVER! Thanks so much or all the time and effort that went into the building of this work of art, and Thank you, to everyone else that assisted in the work as well.
