Hey folks!

Well, turns out the vibes I was picking up last week that led me to pause resuming my normal schedule for another month were the early signs of covid! So that was... fun. I was lucky and only had a light brush with it, but ugh, I definitely don't recommend it.

I'm on the road to recovery, though - and hopefully to come back better than ever. In the meantime - enjoy a quick story!

-

Andy Shears – Andrea to those who didn’t know her – was a woman at war with what was expected of her. Born with warm honey blonde hair and crystal blue eyes, from an early age she’d felt that she had a lot of stereotypes to overcome. Having an older brother who had unapologetically and relentlessly called her Barbie as soon as she’d been old enough to understand who Barbie was had not helped in the least.

She wasn’t really the graceful and aloof kind of girl, either. Said brother had soon learned that the punishment for calling her that hated nickname was going to be a kick to the nads. As she grew up, her rough and tumble nature had only become clearer. Kickboxing had been her sport of choice, and hanging out playing FPS games had always attracted her more than playing with dolls or whatever. It wasn’t that she hated ‘traditional’ girly activities – she just found it more fun to be active and direct than anything else.

So, now at the ripe age of 18, her appearance reflected her attitude. Her blonde hair was cut short to just above her shoulders (she’d come to appreciate it more as she got older, but she still didn’t want it getting in the way), and her clothes were more jackets and jeans than tops and skirts. People could tell just by looking her way that she wasn’t a girl who took any nonsense – and no one knew that better than her friends.

“ClearDreamers?” Andy grimaced. “I don’t know – doesn’t sound like my kind of game.”

“It’ll surprise you!” Nora giggled at her side. “Trust me, it’s way better than it sounds.”

They were sat in the local fast food joint, school having ended for the day. Andy had been hoping to get a full meal here before heading home – she wanted a full energy bar for the gym later. But alas, the ice cream machine had broken down, so she was sulking about missing out on desert, settling for just a burger and fries. This was, perhaps unwisely, the time that Nora Jennings, Andy’s best friend of ten plus years, and decided to strike.

“If you say so,” the blonde grumbled, chomping into her burger. “Sho whaf’s ish abouhs?”

The redhead rolled her eyes. Andy had never quite gotten to grips with things like ‘good manners’. “Okay, so it’s an MMO-”

“Pass.”

“Where you’re a mighty adventurer!”

“Pass.”

“It’s free to play!”

“Oh ew, super pass.”

“And there’s loads of unicorn pets!”

“Pa- Wait, unicorns?” Andy glanced at her friend, looking for signs of deceit. They both knew how much she liked unicorns. Despite her image, despite her attitude, despite her everything, she just had a fondness for the glittery little guys. It was her most embarrassing secret – and alas, this woman knew it well. This particular weakness had been used to manipulate her before.

Nora wasn’t even trying to hide it, either. “Yyyyyyep.”

“… Still pass.” The blonde continued chomping.

“Tch.” Foiled. “Come oooon, Andy, play it with me. It’s super great!”

But the kickboxer just shrugged. She really wasn’t in the mood for new games right now. “Eh. Maybe some other time. Besides, don’t you have drama club to go to tonight anyway?”

“Huh?” The redhead blinked. “Oh, right. Nah, I’ll skip it. I have to log on tonight.”

That finally got Andy to stop eating. She turned, staring wide eyed at her friend. “What? But you hate missing club. You’re crazy for that stuff. You made me hotwire your mom’s car once so you wouldn’t miss it!”

Nora slapped her hands over the blonde’s mouth. “Ixnay on the arcay!” She hissed, looking around in a panic, before relaxing when she saw no one else had heard. “And yeah, I do love it… But I haven’t logged on today, and I really must tonight.”

Huh. “Is it that big a deal?”

“A big deal? No, not really.” She shrugged. “But I must log on tonight.”

What? Andy peered at her friend suspiciously. There’d been something really suspicious about the way she’d just said that. “… Are you okay Nor?”

“I’m fine!” The redhead was all bright smiles again. Though something definitely seemed off about her. “You should play!” Then she checked her watch. “Oh, but it’s getting late – I need to start getting home now, or I won’t have time to play myself…”

“Uh…” The sudden change in topic caught the blonde off-guard, and she stumbled to find something to say as Nora slid out of her seat and got to her feet.

“Catch you later Andy!”

And like that, she was gone – leaving Andy staring at the door that her friend had just disappeared through.

“B… Bye?”

Something was definitely wrong here. Running off like that? Skipping club? Nope, nope, Never-late Nora would never do such a thing. The girl was unbearable about showing up to her commitments on time. Hell, during a certain car incident that would not be named, she’d practically slammed her own foot over Andy’s on the accelerator pedal to avoid being late…

So what the hell had happened? Why the sudden change? Why did she have to play this stupid new game craze of hers? Was it really so addictive, or was there something else going on?

Andy shoved the last bit of her burger bun into her mouth and stood up, brushing the crumbs off her denim jacket. Whatever was happening here, she was going to get to the bottom of it. And there was only one place she could think to start.

ClearDreamers was the latest MMO to hit the shelves, and it was doing surprisingly well for something that had all but been shadow dropped on the gaming community. No big announcements, no PR buzz, no ads… Just a website and word of mouth. It was an almost comical showing in the modern digital world, practically asking for the game to fall flat on its face – even more so because it was an MMO. Who even played those anymore? The era when slapping ‘multiplayer’ on your game to print free money was long, long gone.

Everything Andy read about it seemed pretty standard, too. Fantasy realm, play as a thief, a wizard, a knight, etc… Big dragons, evil undead, blah blah blah… Yeah, no, this was all stuff that had been done a thousand times, and even the guys who’d won it big with this formula weren’t doing super hot anymore. The only weird (and honestly kind of skeevy) part was the game was 18+ only. Why was Nora so into this?

The only thing that stood out to her were the reviews. ‘An incredible experience – you must play it!’ from Personal Device Monthly. ‘You have to play this fantastic game’ from Onlines Ands Lovings Its. ‘Drop everything and get online, you gotta play this thing’ from GamGam Gamz... Okay, with recommendations like that, she could see why it was starting to gather a following – but could it really live up to the hype?

She hadn’t even seen any game footage out there, and no one was streaming it yet. So the only way she was going to find out was by going in. Hopefully once she did, she’d find out why her friend was acting so weird, and if she needed to do anything about it. Nora wasn’t normally the type of person to get addicted to anything, but that just meant that when she fell, she fell hard. Fortunately, she had people around her to help her out.

Well then – no time like the present. The game really was Free-to-Play, so it just took an email address and thirty minutes of download time to get set up. Then she just needed to slip on her VR helmet, and off she went – straight into character creation.

She didn’t make anything particularly imaginative. All the standard fantasy MMO races were there – Human, Elf, Dwarf, Catgirl, you know the ones. She selected a human knight, since that seemed like the simplest combo to her tastes, let the system generate her in-game appearance based on her real life one, and in she went. Username confirmed: Ser Ann of Dee.

The world blurred around her, and then resolved into the shape of a lush forest, with birds singing, and the sound of a flowing river nearby. Looking around, she could see a white stone town not far away, and a path leading off towards it. She’d already been equipped with starter knight gear – some loose chainmail, some blue barding, and a rusty sword… All standard so far. Just what was the fuss supposed to be about?

She strode into town with a sigh, hoping for some sign, some inkling of what made this game such a must play, but… Nothing. Nadda. Zip. Everything was just so normal. There were a few other players running around, a couple of NPCs standing about with quests… But there wasn’t anything special here.

“Well, whatever,” she muttered, pulling up the chat interface. “I might as well let her know I’m in game. Maybe she can explain this one to me.”

She tapped a few commands into the player search, and soon found what she was looking for – Nora always used the name Nordic Pineapple in games like these. Andy had no idea why, even after all these years.

[Hey N,] she wrote in a quick private message. [It’s me. I figured I’d give this game a try after all. Still not seeing what’s so special about it.]

She was expecting to wait a bit before hearing back, maybe explore the starter town and get to grips with how combat supposedly worked around here first – but the reply arrived almost before she sent the first text.

[ohmigod, a! you came after all! hold still, i’ll be right there!]

Yep, that was Nora alright. Girl never had gotten the hang of using capital letters. Huh. Well, in that case she could ask her just what the big deal was supposed to be about this game ‘in person’. Though she wasn’t sure how long it was going to take for her to get h-

“Hi!”

“Gah!” The blonde knight jumped, spinning around to find an all too familiar looking red headed wizard standing behind her, looking entirely too pleased with herself. “How the hell did you get here that fast?”

“I’m a wizard,” Nora giggled. “I can teleport whenever I want. And this is a special occasion! After all, it’s not often the great Ser Ann changes her mind about anything~”

Andy folded her arms. “I’m not that bad!” Then she stuck her tongue out. “But yeah, yeah, whatever. I’m here now. Still not seeing the appeal of all this. But I guess you can show me how to play?”

“Sure thing!” The wizard grinned, adjusting her pointy hat proudly. “I know everything about this game, I can definitely walk you through it! Oh, but that’ll have to come after this event.”

The blonde blinked. “What event?”

CLONG

The ring of a bell rang out through the town, the sound washing over everything and drowning out every other noise. Everyone froze in place – NPCs, players, even Nora and Andy. The entire world went still.

It was a strange sensation. Her thoughts had just suddenly… stopped. Her mouth was still half open, not quite finished asking her friend what she was talking about, and her eyes were still fixed, gazing forward… But nothing was going on behind them. The sound of the bell had blotted out everything in her head, leaving it hollow and empty. The change was so swift she didn’t even notice it happening – the bell had rung, and that had been it. Her mind went still, just like the rest of the world around her.

Then, things began to move again. Not her thoughts – no, those were still thoroughly on pause, but life returned to the town itself as the frozen people, player and NPC alike, turned to face the bell and offered it a stiff salute. That included Andy and Nora, who’s eyes were just as thickly glazed as her friends.

A moment later, and equipment started to hit the floor. Andy’s sword and chainmail clanked as they hit the paved road, with Nora’s robe and wizard hat fluttering down on top of them. Soon, the two were completely naked, as was everyone else in the town. If she could have thought about it, the blonde might have noticed that this level of actual nudity in a supposedly mainstream MMO was the first trend breaking thing she’d seen since she logged in – but, of course, she couldn’t, so she didn’t.

Once naked, the pair returned to their salute – waiting in empty headed stillness until the entire town had done just the same. Then the bell rang again-

CLANG

- and new commands flowed into their heads. Information imprinted itself into them, filling their memories with data that they’d never encountered before, sliding it in between the gaps of their day to day lives. But, more importantly, it also gave them commands to follow.

The blonde night’s arms raised slowly, held out in front of her like a sleepwalker – which wasn’t too far from what she’d become – and she began to march. Around her, others were moving in much the same fashion, all heading in different directions. Her destination was up ahead – an equipment shop, though her empty head didn’t process anything more about it other than the need to go there. At her side, Nora was doing the exact same.

As they walked, their bodies began to alter – adjustments to their code starting to bear fruit. The soundwave of the bell had carried a signal that activated in everyone that heard it, reprogramming them in both body and mind. And whatever its purpose was, the code Andy had received seemed intent on making her body more attractive.

Her chest plumped up, gaining a couple of cup sizes, while her hips widened and fattened to give her some nice curves. Her stride adjusted quickly to the new weight and proportions, turning from a stumbling march to a swaying saunter, shaking her behind and bouncing her tits with each step. Her hair grew out too, spilling out from her short style into a long flowing waterfall down her back, giving her a very princess-y look – rather than the rough and tumble knight she was supposed to be.

Nora also got to enjoy these ‘enhancements’, her bust swelling and her ass expanding, though her red hair remained in its short, wavy style. Neither of them noticed their changes, or even shared so much as a glance – their heads were empty, even if their chests were full.

There was a small line of players waiting outside the equipment shop – all women, all ‘enhanced’ with similar figures. The two friends stepped in at the end of the queue without objection, obediently waiting for their turn to enter. Though, the line wasn’t a still one – every woman in it was busying herself with at least one other lady waiting with them, hands stroking, lips kissing…

Neither Andy nor Nora had previously thought of themselves as anything other than straight (no matter what the rumours about Andy said), but they were no exceptions. The moment they took their place in line, they turned to each other and started making out, their tongues twirling as their breasts squished together, Andy’s hands squeezing Nora’s new buns tight, while Nora began mapping Andy’s new chest for her.

The pleasure crackled down their headsets, made the programming they were receiving all the more effecting, sinking into their brains under layers and layers of horny delight. Even while they were mindless, they couldn’t help but be passionate about how they were treating each other, growing more and more into what they were doing by the second. Breath got heavier. Lips got wetter. Fingers grew more daring…

Until suddenly, they were at the front of the line, and next to enter the shop. The signal ran through their heads as clear as the one that had wiped their minds, and they instantly detached from one another, separating without complaint. Why would they complain, after all? There was no thought to anything they were doing – just empty eyed execution of instruction.

They walked into the shop together, Andy stepping into the shopping interface first. The choice of what she was buying was simple – because, obviously, it wasn’t a choice. There was only one set of gear that was free in the shop, and the ringing in her head commanded that she take and equip it.

Thus, she did – sliding on the long, black netted stockings, and squeezing herself into a now very tight blue bunnygirl leotard (Nora helped her do up the back, groping her a little as she went). White cuffs appeared around her wrists, a white collar around her neck, blue heels slid onto her feet, and, of course, a white bunny tail bobbled above her butt. The last piece of equipment was the blue bunny ear headband, which slipped on through her long blonde hair easily – and completed the set.

[Congratulations – Your temporary class has been set to: Bunnygirl!]

The message flashed over her head, and despite her mindlessness, Andy felt a warm, happy feeling in her stomach as she felt the bun-power flow through her. She was a bunny, and a happy bunny she’d be~

So, naturally, she helped Nora get into her new gear as well – her bunny suit was green, and a whole lot of fun to squeeze her into – before the two of them left the shop, and let the next pair of sapphic explorers in. Hand in hand, the red bunny and the blue bunny skipped into town, ready to stand around, look pretty, and generally enjoy the game – and each other.

Neither really knew what the point of this all was, but they absolutely enjoyed every second of the event anyway~

The next morning, Andy was almost late for school. “Sorry,” she apologised as she rushed past the gate. “Was up late gaming.”

It wasn’t her normal choice of pastime, but since it was her first offense no one thought anything special about it. She was given a warning not to let it happen again, and then left to her normal school day.

Nora teased her the first chance she got, though.

“Seeee?” She giggled, skipping up next to her flushed looking friend. “I told you it was a good game.”

“Yeah…” The blonde’s blush grew even deeper – either from admitting being wrong, or from how close Nora was leaning now. “ClearDreamers is… pretty amazing. You were definitely right.”

She couldn’t actually remember much about how playing the game had worked – for some reason her memories got really fuzzy from the moment she logged in [and that didn’t bother her]. But she definitely remembered [ClearDreamers is a fun game and you must play more of it]. Yeah, she couldn’t wait to get home and log back in.

“We have to play it together tonight,” Nora nodded – her eyes just a touch glassy as she spoke.

“Yes, we must play it together tonight,” Andy agreed, her gaze equally glazed. And then… [Get more people to play ClearDreamers] “Hey, do you think we can get some of the other girls in on this? I bet they’d love it.”

Nora clapped. “Definitely! I knew you’d be the hardest to convince, but now that you’re in, they’ll definitely try it out with us! Then we can all play together!”

“Yeah… We really must play together…”

The two girls smiled at each other, both of their heads ringing quietly with the sound of bells. Then, without thinking about it, they reached out and took one another’s hands, snuggling up against one another… Before hurriedly letting go as another student passed down the corridor. Both were blushing pretty hard, without entirely being sure why…

“Well… I’ll catch you later then! We’ll play after class, yeah?” Andy coughed and got moving, trying to shake this weird feeling that was thumping in her heart away.

“Yep! I’ll see you there! Don’t you dare be late!” Nora looked to be about the same way, her foot shuffling against the floor as she looked away.

“Wouldn’t miss it!” The blonde dashed off – but winked over her shoulder as she went. “And there’d better be unicorns this time!”

Oh yeah. She couldn’t wait to play again~
