MSB's Translation of SD Gundam: Dawn of Papal - Adventure Girl Artesia - Episode 103: Bride of Suginam (Patreon)

We're currently hard at work on episode 7.10, in which we will comment on the SD Gundam short film パパルの暁－冒険少女アルテシア－ 第103話「スギナムの花嫁」(Dawn of Papal - Adventure Girl Artesia - Episode 103: The Bride of Suginam), originally released on VHS on August 22, 1991. It was made as an accompaniment to 機動戦士SDガンダム劇場版 武者・騎士・コマンド SDガンダム緊急出撃 (SD Gundam the Movie: Musha - Knight - Command: SD Gundam Emergency Scramble) which was considered too short to be released on its own. (We previously translated Emergency Scramble and covered it on MSB episode 7.2 - Dragon Ball G.)

Suginam's Bride is presented as though it were the 103rd episode of the long running (imaginary) TV series Dawn of Papal - Adventure Girl Artesia. Fans of these kinds of shows will no doubt recognize a great many homages sprinkled throughout.

As was the case with Emergency Scramble, we're pretty sure that there is no English translation available for this short. So we have created one as a necessary first step in the analysis and critique of the film. We've done our best but remember that we are critics, not translators, so take everything here with a grain of salt.
