As Season 1 comes to a close, we thought you might enjoy seeing the full size versions of the episode cover art, plus some alternate ones that we decided not to use. 

Episode 1.1 - at this point we hadn't realized that we could set a different cover for each episode, so this one is just the Season 1 cover.

Episode 1.2 - Early on, Thom experimented with a bunch of different fonts and text placements, so each cover was different.

Episode 1.5 - It took a few episodes to figure out that we needed to put the episode number on the cover. Kind of seems obvious now, but we were figuring everything out as we went along.

Episode 1.7 - We eventually went with the Garma shot above, but our love for Kai nearly made us choose this alternate cover design.

Episode 1.8 - After months of experimentation and inconsistency, we sat down together and settled on some standards for the cover.

Episode 1.15 - Cucuruz Doan's Island produced a wealth of good screenshots, and we had just started experimenting with sharing small sections of episodes on social media. We created a ton of covers to use for those snippets, but ultimately the labor involved in creating so many clips proved to be too much and we never made more than one.

Episode 1.17 - We try to pick exciting, dramatic images for our episode covers, but sometimes there's a shot like this one that perfectly captures an episode's mood.

Episode 1.18 - Hey, I guess we ought to put the title of the episode on there too, huh?

Episode 1.20 - This was our first double episode, and we realized there wasn't any one image that quite captured the dramatic and tragic events. So for the first time, we had to create our own.

Episode 1.21 - This alternate cover might be more dramatic, but nothing quite captured the emotional core of these two episodes like Mirai's breakdown. 

Episode 1.31 - Should the episode title be inside quotation marks? The jury's still out.

Episode 1.34 - There were so many good images we could have used for this cover, but  Last Shooting is iconic for a reason.
