Wasn’t there considerable back and forth between Admiral King and Admiral Nimitz about using some of the “Standards” in the Guadalcanal campaign?

Another possibility for reproducing documents is to contact your local museum or historical society. They should know of resources in your area that can help.

2023-02-08 18:07:25 Q&A : Would the KGVs have been better ships if all the main armament was forward of the bridge, as per the Nelsons or Richelieus? I assume the weight saving from the shorter citadel could be used to retain the full fat 12x14" main battery.
