Uncle Iroh's tale was a tribute to the original Iroh voice actor Mako.

Mako is iroh's voice actor. He passed away not long after recording this scene. He knew he was dying at the time. The picture of his son is actually him in his youth

Chance Lee because they recorded a decent amount. I think Greg (the next Iroh) had 1 or a few scenes in s2 but s3 is where he really takes over Iroh. Recording sessions aren't as linear as the episodes themselves sometimes they do whole batches or later things before earlier ones, this wasn't the 'last' episode we hear him but his last recording session afaik.

RIP Mako the goat. Also the image of Iroh's son, was a reference image to Mako the va when he was younger. Love Greg but Mako was the one who got us all to love Unc
