Btw, Brook attacking big mom's hard skin wasn't shown in the manga. He only talked about it to the others afterward. So, the presentation they did in the anime Could be inaccurate but I'm not sure

me and my cousin's caught the spiders. we kept a black widow, we also placed an egg we found with it under this old bike at my gram's. it hatched and the widow died. ive also kept jumping spiders and daddy long legs.

Lycan, you really have me thinking about your Big Mom theory with your keen observations. I am starting to rock with it more and more with a slight twist. What do you and Amenz think about this? Based on your theory, Mother Carmel's personality was absorbed by Big Mom when she potentially ate her. This could be the reason her soul-soul fruit powers seemed to be inactive when she had amnesia and also could account for the significant personality change we observed. Here's the twist I thought of... What if Mother Carmel wasn't eaten, but instead she willfully fused her soul with Lin Lin's soul/body to effectively extend her own life in a new powerful body. Streusen (the little baker dude) saw this and has some sort of unknown relationship to Mother Carmel. Let's answer the question of why would Streusen want to befriend a dangerous little kid who he had just seen eat a bunch of people to include the beloved nun; Mother Carmel? We could assume he wanted to use her power and strength, but he just saw the potential outcome if she got "hangry" and lost control. FACTS: 1. Although he is a great chef, the food Streusen makes with his devil fruit ability does NOT taste good. So if Big Mom ever got hungry and he didn't have real food to feed her, his powers couldn't help him. So why take the risk? 2. Streusen calls her Mama. We know Lin Lin's nick name is Big Mom and all her kids / subordinates call her Mama, but why would Streusen call her "Mama" and not Lin Lin (like Kaido) when he's the co-founder of the group and way older than her (approx 23yrs older) and she's not his mom? Or is he talking to Mother Carmel? 3. The Soul-Soul fruit does not stop your body from aging. Although Big Mom collects lifespan from people she still seems to age normally, just like Mother Carmel was seen becoming very old towards the end before meeting Lin Lin and suddenly deciding to "retire". 4. Mother Carmel was known for performing miracles (we know this was due to the soul-soul fruit) and was admired by most and even revered by the giants. She also created the sun homie "prometheus" before she dissappeared which is still around. This indicates her mastery of the fruit's power and that her soul may still be around. ASSUMPTIONS: 1. Based on Mother Carmel's capability and the amount of time she had the fruit we can assume she had awakened it. 2. The awakened power of the soul-soul fruit is not to only take and give peices of souls (which is the only thing we've seen) but to actually completely fuse your soul into another person or creature, effectively extending your life or becoming immortal. 3. Both Lin Lin and Mother Carmel's soul occupy Lin Lin's body with both of their personality's being expressed. Mother Carmel's personality dominates during most times, but when Lin Lin has hunger Pangs or extreme psychological trauma it disturbs Mother Carmel's control and results in Big Mom becoming vulnerable to physical attack or reverting to her child-like state-of-mind. 4. The real reason Big Mom / Mother Carmel has so many kids is to find her next host. What better method to find the next superior life form to fuse souls with than to create it from one of the strongest beings alive. Imagine her jumping into one of her kids next. I know this is crazy, but it was fun just thinking all of this up. All that to say, Lycan I'm rocking with your theory and good luck with your upcoming surgery.

Holy shit!!! Great points! It made me think about this even more. I now think..why the hell was Streusen even there. To add to your points, I think 2 situations happened. 1) Carmel was getting eaten and the last resort was to fuse her soul. 2) she decided to fuse her soul in order to stop Lin Lin from going berserk any more. I do see how you connected her hunger pains also, she never does act like Carmel in that phase, that’s crazy!!

Haki is directly connected to the soul & Well power, Soul is connected to the body well being. Sea prism weakens your body (only if you are a devil fruit user), therefore Sea Prism prevents Fruit & Haki Usage. and that is exactly what Luffy said a few episodes ago.

big mom has hardened skin yea but dont yall remember when she cut herself when she fell down because she was in shock in the past, i feel like if shes asleep it might be similar

The main thing that bothers me about this is wouldn't there be a ton of different personalities/souls "fused" by this point? The fruits been around presumably since the beginning of time if not at least a few hundred years. I do like the theory though and thought something similar myself after watching whole cake, I mean it's a soul fruit and she's clearly going through it mentally lol there's gotta be some connection!

Great point Justin! I'm thinking that previous users either weren't able to awaken it, didn't have the same evil intent, and/or didn't have a viable candidate to fuse with. Mother Carmel could have legitimately been the first to truly awaken the power before dying, have the desire to take someone elses body, and have a viable host who is powerful enough to take it. A lot of coincidences would have to line up, but I'm glad my crazy theory at least inspired you to comment! I'm with you and at least hope we find out in the future.
