Let’s goooooo

Dodoliy

The reason his hair is so long is because it's like letting your hair grow for decades without cutting it.

Jessica Sutherland

20:14 "Nothing better happen to Killua, I promise you I ewhaghahwuoh" LMFAO mans was so shook he forgot what he was saying lmaoooooooooo. Also, theres residual nen after death if the intent behind it is malicious enough. Thats how she was able to get up without a head. It was mentioned in Yorknew City at the auction when Gon & Killua ran into Phinks & Feitan.

Kayso

Favorite part was when we finally see Gon's transformation in color without the black and white and in this calm/scary demeanor he told Pitou to follow him. He himself was still there, still sane and had self control. He was patient enough to have Pitou follow him and he didn't just lash out inside the building. I do wish it was more of a back and forth though and not super one sided. It ended too quick for me. After Gon kicked Pitou (which was satisfying af) I wanted Pitou to attack back but I with the story I get how everything happened this way Goated moment. Osts on point this episode. HxH greatness.

As for the card theory. Gon was only able to bring back 3 cards since he was the winner. They used a transform card to turn an accompany card into a number card. Which they could only bring back number cards. 1 of the other was blue planet. Which bisky got to keep. And the 3rd card was the sword necklace that if holding a card that was transformed into a different card. It would change the card back into its original form. So Gon used the necklace and changed the card back into accompany. So he can bring killua with him to meet Ging. Which ended up taking them to Kite. All 3 cards have been used.

Monkey D. Luffy

28:60 when amenz said gon was swole then licked his lips pause

Monkey D. Luffy

what about shanks i say he is the best one arm goat even tho we haven't seen what he can do but he is an emperor so he must be whitebeard level

Darksteel78

Worst anime dad now and forever shall be buddy from Full Metal Alchemist. You know the one...

Ayush Nair

someone had said in HxH that there will be some residual nen left even after a person is dead if the intent was deep enough

Just a few things that I missed myself the first time: Remember that pitou hasn't seen the king since before he went to fight neterou. So she thinks he's equal to the king as she knew him, not the broken king with both pouf and youpi's powers. And the biggest thing to consider, is how far back the author was setting this up. Think about all of gon's experiences since the beginning. Zepile said he doesn't care about right and wrong and that makes him dangerous, cold blooded killers being fascinated by him (hisoka, nobunaga, and razor), or outright scared by him (The bomber). Gon's always been unhinged and was never a morally upright character. He simply follows his curiosity and desires regardless of what's right. So the moment he was pressed, he had no hesitation to kill an innocent for what he wanted (komugi).

That with everything he learned about conditions and rules on nen from kurapika, he's been planning to use this tactic on pitou since he saw her at the palace most likely. Also he's lost arms before on a whim just to "give someone a scare". Gon was being led up to this in every arc.

Anonymous

If you think about it, he was given too much power and tools as a kid, and his father Ging wasn't around to teach him to not go crazy with it. He really is a bad dad lol

Anonamai

Yeah the phantom troupe wouldn’t kill Kurapika cause they were worried his residual nen would kill Chrollo.

Hero3life

If you remember, nen becomes more powerful - even after death. They explained it with Meleoron. Remember they weren't sure if the nen would remain leaving them to decompose without anyone knowing, and I believe they mentioned it earlier in the series.

KoKo JoJo

They did mention it earlier, but I can’t remember when.

KoKo JoJo

That’s why I appreciate Gon as a MC. From the outside he looks like a happy-go-lucky, upstanding kid, but when you go deeper into his character he is pretty selfish. He is a perfect mirror of hxh as a series, it looks innocent in the first few episodes but as you continue the themes get darker and become… less innocent lol.

Nik

Remember the king has hit the royal guards before with the intent to kill them and they were fine. The king will probably still beat gon hand to hand in this form

This episode is so crazy. I get the reaction. Nen after death is an important part of HxH. Even in future arcs. There were a lot of foreshadowing, it appears to be weird gon powering up like this, but we were led to this from the start.

The final blow was epic

Chance Lee

Always spoil your daughter on bring your daughter to work day! -shou tucker

NehNehDoffy

Yea so this was WAY back, but in the Phantom Troupe arc after Kurapika put his chain on Chrollo's heart they said they didn't wanna risk killing Kurapika cause if he dies with anger or some strong emotion (nen after death) then it could activate the chain around chrollos heart and kill him too.

Knuckle's hair

Quick reminder : back in Greed Island, Gon called Wing and ask how to develop a nen technique or something like that and then Wing warned him to not imitate what Kurapika did because it’s dangerous. It’s crazy how strong future Gon is. It’s also crazy how Wing saw Gon and Killua potential when they just learned nen in Heavean Arena arc

Knuckle's hair

" I didn’t get to enjoy his transformation " lmao yeah I feel you. That’s the point of the transformation it’s epic but sad at the same time. This is what I love about Togashi's writing, he takes a a basic concept and do something different with it.

Gaïa New Gate

"BRO it's actually GONGEUH" need to be put on a t-shirt lmao, amazing reaction, been waiting for this !

Knuckle's hair

Ging is not even the worst dad of this series. Gyro's dad is far worse + Silva too

Dark KingJ

Yep after seeing this episode I became convinced that anything can happen in an anime

Kaleb Gebrmichael

When Gon said he finished the job the way Kite taught him, he was referring to how Kite said to destroy the head of the ants to actually kill them.

Aegis

Can you tell Togashi was depressed writing this arc lmfao

Jessica Sutherland

I'm laughing so hard rn rewatching your reaction. "His power is now equal to that of the king!" You guys: AIN'T NO WAAAAAAAAY *IMMEDIATELY shuts up* when Gon's eyes appear and says he'll kill her hahahahahaha. Ya'll are comedy asf. & Then when Pitou tried to start Terpsichora you guys imitated her ROFL goofyyyyyyyyyy.

Cinya

FYI: Pitou's actual line is supposed to be that "His(Gon's) fangs can reach the King." just implying he's a problem but not equal. The subs be slightly changing things giving wrong impressions sometimes. Even Netero saying Pitou was stronger than him wasn't correct. He said it might be. Gon might have more or the same amount of aura (before the King ate Pouf&Youpi) but the King's body is still like 50x stronger and as you pointed out it still took a few hits to finish Pitou's skull. King got scratches from Zero and probably survive a smaller nuke.

Tony M

Anyone seen S•Cry•Ed? When Gon goes into that form I'm always reminded of that black and white Alter thing.

Ilyas Elric

It was stated that nen gets stronger after death. That's why the phantom troupe didn't attack kurapika after the boss was under his chains, in case kurapika's residual nen after death attacks Chrollo and he wouldn't be able to defend since he can't use nen. Also Killua is speed of lightning, not speed of light. completely different.

Ilyas Elric

Hunter x Hunter powers work specifically with the restriction and covenant rule. Kurapika put his life on the line with Judgement chain on his own heart and restricted chain jail's use to solely the phantom troupe to make his powers more powerful. Gon traded his entire future and potential to get this power just that one time and its over. He doesn't care anymore... He's Gone

Ilyas Elric

and Gon was only able to do that because he had such a great future and potential ahead of him. He traded much more than most people can come close to trading.

Ryan Beverly

The popular fan theory around Ging is he had to sacrifice the relationship for his son for his nen abilities

Anonamai

Not Daisy Dukes... They're STUBBIES now!

BioSanjiVinsmoke

They already used the card. They used Accompany on to teleport to Kite.

Anonymous

Btw, in the manga, Pitou doesn't actually say that Gon was equal to the King. Just that at his power, he would be a problem for him.

Melanie McCrory

I think Baki has the worst father out of all anime characters.

Mizardy

this reaction was goated 😂 yall real ones for listening to the fans and giving us 3 eps

Densanity

Nah yujiro was proud as fuck when baki finally got laid and even gave him some advice and blessing. Baki busted nut all over the place next morning lmao. If thats not a good father idk what is.

Stew

Awesome reaction. I can't wait to see all your questions about Gon and Meruem be answered. Wouldn't it be better to compare Gon to the Netero since it was basically Gon's version of zero hand. Crazy that a little kid could use his nen in a similar way to the Chairman. I wonder when the chairman realized he could use zero hand.

Anonymous

Interesting that Lycan mentioned that if Killua's moving at the speed of light, he'll be there already. IMO, I think his Godspeed does not make him move at the speed of light but rather, as mentioned earlier in the Sibling Darts fight, it allows him to use the electrical nen to trigger his hand reflex to capture the dart immediately. So this means for example, instead of your brain sensing that you hit the ground and then you triggering your brain to tell your body to move after that, the electrical aura triggers your muscles to move immediately after touching the ground, and at high speeds too, which allows you to transcend normal limits. I think this is also reinforced by the fact that Killua has superhuman strength, this means that he can withstand the force of impact if his muscles are triggered at high speeds. Sorry, nerding out at nen powers lmao.

Cheddah Slammer

Reason people love Nen, is even though this power seems to be out of left field, it actually isn't and is formed by everything that has been established previously in the series. Gon established a contract just like Kurpika did. Kurapika made a contract to only use his ability on the Troup, which makes it stronger. In this case Gon's contract he sacrificed all his Nen and his lifespan to be in his prime just to kill Pitou. The stronger the power the greater the cost.

Kevko

Just throwing it out there light is not lightning, just throwing it out there. It‘s so funny when Lycan thinks he knows but he doesn‘t.

Scott Brown

Gon is very likely the most talented Nen prodigy alive (tied or maybe a little below Killua), so using up ALL of his talent and giving up his potential future as the strongest human on the planet allowed him to achieve this level of power.

Jamie

Dunno if you guys will read this, but to explain some things. 1) For Pitou, it was explained before, that Nen can persist through death and become stronger, if it had powerful emotions attached. Hence why the Phantom Troupe didn't want to kill Kurapika, cause his power might kill their leader. 2) Just as Kurapika did, Gon made a rule. Instead of "I'll only use this power on phantom troupe or forfeit my life", he bet his entire potential, all his nen, and possibly his life, he wrote a blank check. Which you have to think of the "value" of what he's putting up, that's allowing him to have so much power. If someone like Morel used this rule, it wouldn't do as much, cause he's older and already near potential. Gon is young, he has MANY years ahead of him. And he easily has one of the highest potentials in Nen history as far as we know. The "value" of what he's offering in this rule, is far greater than anything almost anyone could offer.
