Its great you noticed the similarities in the battle plan of Hody and Arlong. At the end of the day he is nothing but a copy of who he admired. Also drawing out One Piece is necessary, you don't know but the anime catches up to the manga alot so they draw it out.

Yep around this time they were i think in the next location already in the manga. This is exactly where I caught up myself and I went to read it. They were very close.

Yall should check out Hajime no Ippo at some point. It's one of my favorite anime and I think you guys will enjoy it. It's about boxing. The characters, humor and fights are dope asf. Keep up the good work, bless up.

Seeing that you are already bothered by the drag since the time skip. It's probably mentioned multiple times before, but I strongly recommend the website One Pace. They cut out all the extra scenes that drag unnecessarily, basically gives you a manga experience(especially the hellish dressrosa arc, great arc ruined by the anime, One Pace cut HALF of total episodes worth of fillers). The drag will only get worse until you hit about 940ish episodes.

The problem isn't the flashbacks or pacing on their own. The problem is that Fishman Island just isn't a great arc. It's good, but its very simple, so when the pacing is bad you feel it a lot more than some other arcs. Don't switch to One Pace, you will regret it. Especially once you've caught up

ok I'll be honest ay this point in One piece the animation studio know the shows going to be watched so they sort of do want, and say fuck the pace. the anime takes 51 episodes to do the arcs which is equal to the number of chapters in the manga. Now you tell me what do you think a will when you stretch a 15-20 page chapter in 20mins that's a min a page and Oda doesn't do page layouts like that. so to summarise Fuck Toei Animation they done the same to Naruto, Dragon Ball and Bleach.

To be honest it only felt dragged out to me just because i was waiting weekly for one episode. But those who are catching up are lucky because they can just watch it non stop. So its not really that much of a bother if you think about it

Agreed! I think one piece is one of the best anime in terms of binging! It’s not perfect at all but it is just so addictive lol. As long as you’re enjoying it I think that’s what matters!

if the pace is getting to yall then id recommend one pace for the next arc especially. But then again it might be good for you guys to stay on one piece because it'll just be more content in the end. Up to yall but it does drag out a bit for the next couple arcs.

This is honestly OP anime's fault lol I remember I stopped watching OP in junior high cuz of this arc ahaha BUT arcs afterward are definitely worth it so please keep it up with your amazing reaction! Loving it!
