I think it’s kinda dope that when they jump, Luffy makes sure to hold on to Chopper and Nami since they would need the most help landing.

Robin and Nami had the best backstories because it ties into the current story so perfectly. Their past makes them the character we meet and after several arcs they change and trust the crew.

Personally when I am thinking about backstorys, I am also thinking about the Storyarc around it. So for Robin I kinda include everything up to now. "I want to live!" was the most emotional part of her "backstory" to me, aswell as her confession that she wanted to die because she feared that the strawhats would abandon her too. It's the resolution of the backstory, so I see it as one thing.

I put Robin's Back Story at Number 1 because when start off we see that No One likes and miss treats her on the Isnand and then meet the only there likes. Her Ather that they get killed leaving her all alone because the whole turned on her and for me that's not the other crew members who had someone they loved and loved them alive I put Nami back Story 2nd for the same reason Amenz Said Chapper At number 3 Sanji At Number 4

Nami's and Robin's backstory are the saddest and so far my favorites. Nami literally being slaved and even she left Village she couldn't escape from Arlong. Everyone was hostage and Nami all alone deals with pirates. Group of ppl that she hates the most. Years and years by herself. Robin was even more alone in the dark. Whole purpose of Nami's stealing connect to her past and counts as a backstory to me. Sanji had Zeff, Chopper had Kureha. Nami had ppl from the village but Arlong was above all of that and put that fear in Nami and couse of that she was alone until Luffy cames. Robin is similar and worst at the same time, scared by fearsome ppl, wanted poster. Running and running without any trusty person. I'm seeing backstory different. Scenes we've seen are important but things or feelings that character could felt between backstory and main story are more important to me and boosts overall impact.

I totally respect y'all's opinions but y'all seem to forget that Robin was chased by everyone as a little girl and that lasted for 20 years. If it wasn't for Luffy she would have killed herself back in alabasta which is actually very deep
