Logline: TALENTED MR. RIPLEY meets CALL ME BY YOUR NAME about an author, who is psycho-ambitious to become a best-seller and gets involved with an older ex-pat German for his own advance.

Roles:

MAURICE SWIFT: A handsome and charismatic, aspiring writer in the past. He works as ERICH'S assistant and Erich, an older, successful writer, falls in love with him. But Maurice steals Erich's book and later passes it off as his own - for a big hit (when Erich kills himself). Years pass and Maurice steals his own wife EDIE's book- for another big success. but also kills Edie. Attached Riz Ahmed

EDIE STANTON: She is a very talented writer with a real quirky flair. She makes a lot of money as a ghostwriter and is the wife of Maurice. But he reads her own novel and realizes it's amazing. So, he steals it and presents it as his own - and kills Edie.

ERICH ACKERMANN: A commanding, respected writer/professor. He has Maurice working as his assistant and falls in love with him. But Erich is stunned when Maurice steals Erich's own, personal story (about Erich causing the death of his lover and his lover's family in Nazi Germany) - and Erich commits suicide.
