Logline: A woman who is the daughter of a liberation icon must go find her twin sister who was rumored to have died in war.

Roles:

NIMANE: Young, barely 20, and mother to twin girls NINIAN and VIVIANNE. Seen as war hero from the people of her land: Myran and deemed a martyr, dying to protect Myran and the ones she loved. She had a deep faith in the myth of the black rock and its powers of seeing into the future, so many spoke of her as the chosen one, unique in her ability to really see the magic that came along with the black rock and goddess figure. NlNIAN: She uses her morn's legacy for profit, running a theatrical show in Myran where tourists/outsiders from places like Aeylin can come and hear the exaggerated story of her mother NIMANE. In the beginning, she carries a resentment for her mother and what that legacy means for her. These clear "mommy issues" manifest itself in her fierce independence and lack of true, romantic love. As the story unfolds, the dynamic between the twin sisters makes it clear they are opposites. NINIAN ls much more traditionally feminine, wearing glittery dresses, entertaining men for money at her show, and showing sexual interest in men. She originally has no desire to fight in the ways her mother had, but her character arch reveals that she can handle much more physical toughness than originally thought. With a twin dynamic of brains vs. brauns, NINIAN holds the brains, and we see her intelligence at its peak towards the end, when she uncovers the true meaning behind the myth of the black rock and what that holds for their future. TUIEN: A thick, large older man with scars, some jewelry, and missing fingers. Seen as a mobster-like character, he is SI Mi's right hand man and main protector. Amongst the other soldiers, he is a fearless leader who they constantly obey and seek out his permission. He spoke in occasional broken English or incomplete phrasing, making him seem uneducated which feeds into his tough
