Painting & Posing (Patreon)

Hey lewdies,

Hope you guys are having a chill December. I've been dev'ing the dolly mode where I can, and yesterday someone gave me the idea to create a body painting system. 

The Naughty Sandbox base mesh and some of the base functionality of her shader set up, was initially designed for a VR massage game. I decided the scope of the project should be a bit less specific than just massaging, but at that point I'd already designed an oil system that made it possible to oil up her skin dynamically. 

I thought I'd expand this system to be a full body paint system and experimented with some quick and dirty implementation, and it turns out it's super fun and quite hot!A longer clip here - https://twitter.com/NaughtySandbox/status/1204911100371832833

Haven't decided how far I'll take the system yet, but it could be an entire mode on its own if there's demand for it. I'm sure peeps can use their imaginations on what they can do with it - makeup, tanlines, face and bodypaints, bruises and marks etc. Currently I've just done colors, but it can be expanded to include anything really, like shininess, metallic, etc.

Players will be able to export and import their custom paints to and from Windows explorer too so peeps can upload and share their stuff, probably.

In the Twitter link and the header clip above you can see the basic pose functionality she has currently, her limbs can be manipulated as well as where her knees and elbows point. Her IK rig allows you to pose her limbs and then move her body / pelvis and her hands / feet will stay where they are unless their target location is too far away for them to reach. This is something i want to polish a lot so it's super easy and nice to pose characters in any pose you want. 

There will be an updated Rodeo build before Xmas, (even though no one wants that! ;-;) I will see where I'm at with the Doll Mode, if it's "stable" enough and at a point where I think it won't cause harm to the project, I'll try get it out before Xmas hols as well. I'm going as fast as I can, I don't want to release something that everyone will have technical problems with though so I may hold off until after Xmas or just reduce the functionality to only the things that are the most stable.
