Hail, salty dogs and landlubbers alike! Hannah here, as Captain Ralazar is back upon the high seas, searching for the mighty Shipsnapper.

We had a lot of fun with the art for SHARKADIA, so I wanted to share a couple behind-the-scenes peeks at the art process, directed by our lead artist Jason Hasenauer.

Cover Art by Veronica O'Neill

We had a bunch of ideas for the SHARKADIA cover, so Veronica worked up some fantastic thumbnails for us to choose between.

As much as we loved the colorful ocean joust, in the end we decided to go with the classic chomp. Here's the final with the modified logo.

The Squalo versus a Sea Terror by Elisa Serio

We loved both of these sketches, so we told Elisa to pick whichever she was more excited about. She went with the menacing maw! Here's the final, in a lovely period-appropriate oil painting style.

Captain Shivershank by Elisa Serio

Elisa also created two concepts for Captain Shivershank herself, keeping in mind the abilities in her stat block! We elected to go with the second option—I love how the viewer is looking up at her, which is especially apparent in the final version.

And here's that final! Elisa killed it on the details here.

There's lots more awesome art within the pages of SHARKADIA—check it out if you haven't already, and happy adventuring!
