ARCADIA #1 Community Creations (Patreon)
Content
Hey awesome patrons! It’s James Introcaso, your ARCADIA Managing Editor and MCDM’s RPG Line Developer. Thank you so much for the amazing response to Issue #1. I’m enjoying the conversations folks are having about the content here on Patreon, in the MDCM Discord, and on our subreddit.
You’re not just talking about the issue. You made dope stuff! Specifically, many wonderful GMs out there made a bevy of new mounts inspired by Willy Abeel’s “Jumping on Mounted Combat” article. Here’s a few of my favorites from Reddit:
- Adolescent Wyvern and Hadrosaurus Mounts from SoldierXMachina
- Dire Lynx from erikeu4account
- Giant Goat Mount from pepper-jk
- Giant Spider, Rhinoceros, Very Young Blue Dragon, and Young Felidar Mounts from Animus_Glitch
- Hydra Mount by Vasgorath
- Moose Mount from pr1va7e
- Sphen, the Lesser Sphinx, Mount from omer831
If you’re interested in making your own ARCADIA-style mounts, check out this guide from pepper-jk (which also includes a link to their Camel, Elk, Mastiff, Pony, and Riding Horse Mounts). You’ll need that guide if you use erikeu4account’s potion of dire transformation, which turns any Medium or smaller creature into a Large mount. And if you’re running the “Rally at Rakshar” encounter from Willy’s article, g0dxmode has you covered with a beautiful battlemap.
The community creations don’t stop there. PolarSuccess shared this incredible 2D miniature for SAM created by Printable Heroes from Leon Barillaro’s “The Workshop Watches” adventure. Print it out or upload it to a VTT to give SAM a sweet new look.
ARCADIA #1 is also inspiring some great discussions that are helping GMs and players everywhere up their game. Sadie Lowry’s “Uqaviel, the Recreant” article got the MCDM community talking about how cool it is when heroes become villains in this Reddit thread.
If ARCADIA inspired you to create, we want to know. For more awesome creations and to share your stuff, join the MDCM Discord and our subreddit.
All right. Time to keep cranking on Issue #2!
