8/22 weekly update:

Good progress on v2 last week! I smoothed a bunch of rough edges & squashed a few sneaky bugs. The game's code rewrite is essentially done now and the next step is back-and-forth with Carrot playtesting to fix any leftover issues we discover. I have a few lingering polish/bugfix tasks (Mostly in Act 2) to solve this week as well, in parallel.

Once it's looking good, we'll get ya'll a build to help test! Whenever v2 is officially stable, we'll be ready to charge ahead on the main campaign content for the rest of Act 3. ^w^

Remaining v2 todos:

  • (almost done) Camera Bugs: Most are fixed, but need to thoroughly re-test to ensure all v2 cameras match v1 cameras.
  • (in progress) Critter Dates: Need to finish testing all triggers.
  • (tentatively done) Final testing pass to make sure I didn't overlook any other features, menus or visuals.
  • (in progress) Playtesting with Carrot.
  • (soon) Playtesting build for patrons.

On my end, I've been working on a PART TWO to the mabel animation I was showing a lil while ago. The next scene in the campaign is technically two parts, but this send part, I likely won't have fully finished by the time we implement it. I want to make progress on the other big animations needed for Act 3 as well. But these will get done eventually :> I made good progress on this one and the main loops are almost all done!

I've also been spending a bit of time messing with the 3D print workflow. I'm in contact with a few production peeps to see about getting them printed :O. The first step is getting a sample, so we'll see how it goes. 

I got a buncha screen shots and had to find all the pantones for some select colors, and get a buncha exact measurements. it was a pain in the ass xD!

But yeah, we'll see how this goes! It'd be super dope to get a small print of these going, pretty stoked to see how it goes!

I was also messin' with some more 3D shiz. I'll be posting the Perdita loop for this month tomorrow :> Usually these are 5$+ things, but i'll just post that one for everyone, it's pretty short. I'll post it on other sites later on, so y'all get to enjoy sooner :>

Aside from art shiz, I've been needing to take it easy. I've been having some pesky eye pain on my left eye these days. When things get like this, I need to go pretty hard with having them closed and resting. Like for every hour I use them, I gotta rest about that much too. I had a PRETTY BAD bout of this 2 years ago? and it SUUUCKED, but it was surrounded by a bunch of unknowns. Now I know how to navigate this better, so it hasn't been too bad. Part of that is due to the aggressive rest! 

So I've been listening to some audiobooks meanwhile. Particularly a bunch of Redwall! What better critter-filled content! I'm gonna have to nab the way they describe critter food, it always sounds delicious xD

Anywho - I'm on bug hunting duty for a bit, then back to assets!

Question: you're modeling in Blender right? How do you set it up to use with 3D printing? I keep having issues with the scale

You can change the unit settings in the options on the bottom right side bar. There’s like a buncha basic shapes, click that one. Set it to .001 - currently blender is set so 1 is a meter, so .001 becomes a millimeter, more native to printers!
