I actually hadn't noticed the purple shine in Charizard and Aipom's eyes (I was a bit too focused on their mouths, the latter's in utmost horror as I don't care for Aipom either since monkeys freak me out) but that's a cool point! As for the Mewtwo reveal, I get your concern, but I kind of get why they did it because for the first time since the movie was announced my absolute HYPE is finally overwhelming my stubborn belief that this movie isn't real and is actually either a world-wide hallucination or some elaborate prank (don't even try to tell me Ryan Reynolds wouldn't agree to make a bunch of fake Detective Pikachu trailers).

Im just curious, have you played the game? Cause Mewtwo is kind of really frigin essential to what goes on in the plot. Course they could be taking it in a different direction from the game but based on the footage we're seeing i dont think they are.
