The movie that made Alicia Vikander famous (at least in Europe) was A Royal Affair about the Caroline Mathilda and the doctor's affair. Even though Alicia Vikander is Swedish and the historical character is not, she ended up playing the part (the fact that she speaks English probably helped, since a bit of English is spoken at the beginning if the movie). Mads Mikkelsen plays the doctor, he's Danish but I think the doctor was from Germany. As for Caroline Mathilda's daughter, even though the Danish court kept her status as legitimate within the marriage people would call her the pettite Struensse (sorry if it's mispelled), based on the doctor's last name. There was also a political component in the whole affair. The reason why Caroline Mathilde and the doctor tried to control King Christian's policies is because they were both liberal minded (as in the Illustration spirit / Century of Lights spirit), while the Danish court was highly conservative, including Christian's step-mother, a German born princess and by then Danish Dowager Queen Julianne Marie, who had a son with prior King Frederick V, that son also named Frederick (per Danish tradition all their male kings should be named either Christian or Frederick, the names are alternated). Anyways ,Julianne Marie knew her son could never be king, more so after her step-son Christian had his own son, but she wanted to rule by proxy with her son through Christian, using him as a puppet. Caroline Mathilda and the doctor became an obstacle to Julianne Marie and her policies so that had a lot to do with her allying with the Danish nobility to engineer Caroline Mathilda and her lover's fall (and the other guy who was helping them rule through Christian)
