What the heck?! When did it become June?! Time seems like it's going fast AF right now. Well, either way, I am happy that I get to share some more spoilers with fans and supporters of Veronica's Body. I'll be doing another, public post, with some of the tamer images later this month so be on the look out for that post as an official announcement.

Lustfall

Chugging away slowly at getting the art worked on. A couple of commissions finished up so I have something to show off on Friday. I am looking forward to getting back into it and maybe finishing the development quickly so I can move on to the next big project since it's been a few years of working on it. I've also been thinking about how to better balance the combat and am considering a large overhaul of the characters and some stat rebalancing but that's something to save for another day.


Veronica's Body (VB2)

How about that cover art? Good stuff. The base art is all done and the Game Over/Bad End work is nearly finished too! These next few weeks are big for me. I am working on the final TF area and then all I'll have left to do is the final boss(es)... And then a ton of polishing... Veronica will end up fighting against both Victoria AND Hanaja in the same battle. They will periodically swap places with each other to mix up the pools of attacks that they use.

Again, here are the current plans. Pretty confident about this timeline right now:

  • Retail Price: $14.99USD
  • Release Date Target: Week of June 21st (Aiming to get it out on the 21st)
  • Platforms: itch.io (Initial release) followed by DLSite (day or two later, has to be censored and approved) and Steam with Achievements (more complicated so it may take a week or two)

It's been a busy month and I am happy with the foundation of the game. This feels like the natural evolution of Victoria's Body in most ways. From more art and streamlining some of the clumsiness of the old system, to the buildup and manipulation of transformation energy, and even a healthy dose of production value increase, I know everyone reading this is going to love it!

(Please excuse the garish pink boxes. They are debug tools and obviously won't be there in the final game) 

Here's a little preview of the final area before you enter Victoria's Castle, the Silent Tunnels. An abandoned mine shaft that was once used for mining valuable ores is now coated in ever-flowing magical wax. Much like the Rubber Swamp shown in other previews and spoilers, there is liquid wax that will slowly TF you when you stand in it so watch out! 

(Rumor has it that if you fight an enemy while standing in the wax, each turn it will attempt to crawl up your body and transform you from the legs up.)

Oh, and speaking of traps, that's not all. When you visit the Lost Village area, you'd best watch your step. With all of the magical circles laying around you are sure to run into some very arousing traps! While "technically" visible to those with godly vision, it would be wise to dip your head in some living latex to make the traps very easy to spot. It turns out, having your face smothered in semi-sentient, sex-crazed goop is pretty useful for discovering and avoiding traps.

For those who enjoy some zoomed out level pics, this is the first floor of the Doll House. That Legion's Whispers from above will be helpful here as well. Like all giant houses, some of the floors are unstable and have a tendency to break and send you careening down to the floor directly below. The cracks are a bit more visible to the naked eye, but if you were to accidentally step on one, the whispers will cause you to jump out of the way the first time. 

That being the case, you will actually have to jump down some holes on purpose to get around obstacles and solve puzzles. The Doll House also has a negative TF mechanic to it, so if you want to get through without trouble... well... let's just say that you better keep your hands (arms) to yourself. ;)

I'd spoil a CG if I had one with me (that wasn't the end game/victory CG) buuuuuut I'll just have to save those for another post or for you to discover in the game itself.


About Patreon Milestone #2

I just wanted to touch on this real quick in the case that we actually hit this milestone with the hype leading up to VB2's release. Any additional TFs to be added to the game due to Patreon Milestone goals will be post-launch updates (free DLC). 

Obviously, these things take time and I don't want to delay a game because too many people are excited about it. Lol! You will get the spoilers for the extra content at this tier, while everyone else will get updates but not the full visual spoilers.
