With a fresh week of a new month and a new disaster of 2020 just around the corner, I bring you all news on the recently announced release of Update 3. I may have a temporary IRL job that will be off and on through the end of the year, so things on the dev side may slow down a little but until I know more about it, it's hard to say. Fortunately, since I am very far ahead of what's released so far, I don't see any major impact on the release schedule of Lustfall at all. 

I just finished the initial re-playtest of the mansion a few days ago and made some tweaks to lower the encounter rate a bit and slightly power-down the boss fight at the end. I'll keep things spoiler free since you all will have your sticky hands on the latest release in just a few weeks. That being said, this is the first dungeon where there is a mid-boss that will have some unique battle cards and the dungeon boss after that. 

Your feedback will be important between now and the free release because the difficulty steps up a lot at the boss. Now and moving forward after this dungeon, single character boss fights (as in, one enemy vs your party) will receive two attacks and while the RPG Maker MV enemy AI isn't quite advanced enough to do insane combos without some intense scripting on my end, there are plenty of cards that make for devastating combos on accident.

As far as hints for the boss: I suggest keeping Cleopawtra at as close to full health and side effect-free as possible. She can learn a new skill by reading a specific book in the library that is also very strong so she should have that ready to help survive this one. 

Additionally, Gwen does some good damage with her magic and at level 10, she (along with everyone else) learns a stronger, AOE magic attack that packs a punch... Which will be important because the dungeon in general has a lot of Arm Binding and Blinding side effects, so magic is nice to have assuming you can keep your MP up.

I am super happy with how things are turning out with this and the further we get into these updates, the more consistent everything is in terms of character, writing and plot so it makes my job of touching things up a lot quicker and easier. :)

Currently, we are waiting on two pieces to be finished. I am confidant that one of them will be done in the next few days because this person is super reliable and I have worked with them a lot in the past. The other artist is making their debut for this update with some good pieces but communication as been less than I have hoped now that I put a hard date on the release.

Finally, I have been thinking that the delay between the Early Access release and the general public release is too short? Maybe putting 2-3 weeks between the dates is more effective? Happy to hear some thoughts but I don't plan on changing anything anytime soon.

Still doing the sub-a-thon too! What could it be?! ;) It's actually more difficult to calculate than I thought because different places on my Patreon dashboard show different numbers constantly but last I checked, despite the poll's numbers, we are only at 9 so idk.
