Month Beginning Post: August 2024 Plans (Patreon)

The year is over half done! It's gonna be a race to get as much of Step 2 done before 2025 as possible, but I can't get too far ahead of myself. We've still got to take progress one month, and one day, at a time.

It you want to see what was finished in July, you can read it HERE! Now here's what I'm aiming for in August.

Monthly Content Plans:

Of course, we've got the basics: drafting, writing, and programming. I'll be drafting the rest of the Step 2 prologue and writing some of it. That's gonna be long, so I know it won't be fully written by the end of August.

At least half of a Step 1 DLC Moment will be programmed and released as a beta build.

I'll be putting together design docs for Qiu's and Tamarack's Step 2 introduction CGs. That's gonna be fun. It's always interesting to decide what to do for the first appearance of a lead in a new time period.

I want to continue deciding voiced lines/phrases. My goal is to finish both Tamarack's and Qiu's lists. Maaaybe auditions for the child characters will open this month. I'm not sure yet.

Whether it happens sooner or later, I won't be casting the grownup characters who appear in Step 1 along with the kids. I'll wait until the Step 3 script is nearly done, so that the VAs can do almost all their lines at once instead of doing a little bit at a time over more than a year.

And that's everything. I'm now fully into making Step 2 content. That's pretty hard to believe. I'm still adjusting, but I'll do my best with these challenging teenage years!
