Month End Post: July 2024 Wrap-Up (Patreon)
Content
Hey everybody!
Another month is behind us. Last time I wrote one of these posts, I had been feeling pretty behind. Now I'm feeling better! Things are coming along and I've managed to get over some massive hurdles. I'll explain that in the progress breakdown-
Monthly Content Summary:
This month I finished the final OL2 Step 1 script 🥳️. There will still be edits and additions as time goes on, but there's no full Moments or opening/ending sections left to tackle. And, after a rocky start, I've managed to get a solid foothold into drafting the Step 2 prologue. Transitioning from one Step to another is never easy for me, so it's a relief to be feeling pretty confident already.
It amounted to 24,450 words written and 23,550 words drafted. A total of 48,000 words were done in July. That's amazing.
12,800 words were programmed. That was to add Slumber Party Part 2. That whole Moment is now playable in the beta!
The sensitivity and authenticity readers have been sending feedback these past weeks. I've spent some time trying to implement/change what was suggested.
I have also began picking out the specific lines and reusable stock phrases that are gonna be voiced acted in Step 1! So far, Step 1 Baxter and Step 1 Ren have their lines fully planned.
And this month I finally released the OL1 artbook on Steam and Itch! Another cause for celebration. For the next few days, it's 10% off.
Lastly, Steam rolled out a new feature where game demos can have their own pages with reviews. I made one for Our Life: Now & Forever. Feel free to leave your thoughts there, if you want to.

You might have noticed that I took a nice five-day break this month. I had hoped that wouldn't get me further behind and it seems not to have been a massive loss! July was a success for the project in my mind. Here's hoping for even more exciting developments in August.
