Hey everyone!
Here are the topics I'll be working on in August:
- Linux News: there will be 4 in August, every Saturday
- All the open source software I use: a look at all the open source apps I use everyday to make my videos and get work done, and the few proprietary apps I still use, and why I haven't replaced them with FOSS alternatives
- Debunking privacy myths: a look at common privacy-related myths and debunking them with factual information
- Best utilities and apps for GNOME: a look at the best extensions, tools, and apps to make your GNOME desktop work exactly like you want, and improve productivity
- Complete guide to Flatpak: how it works, debunking a few preconceived notions, plus some tools and tips for theming, permissions, and more
- UKUI desktop: a look at this desktop, used in Ubuntu Kylin and other distributions
And now, what you can vote on:
- Why Linux is better for developers: a look at what makes Linux the ideal platform to code (it nearly won in previous polls, so it's back!)
- BlendOS: they just released a new version of the distro, with a bunch of interesting tools to manage this immutable distro, and I think it's worth a look
- Tips and tricks to make your Steam Deck the best it can be (working title): another one that nearly won in previous polls, so it's back as well
- What are immutable distributions: a look at what these things are, why they exist, and their advantages and disadvantages
- Nvidia drivers on Linux: do they underperform: since I built my SteamOS console, I've wanted to compare the performance of Nvidia Drivers and AMD drivers, just to see if Nvidia drivers underperform, because I get the feeling that games play much better on my AMD GPU than on my Nvidia GPU on my editing rig, which supposedly has a much more powerful GPU.
So, vote for the ones that you prefer, and I'll work on the 3 that receive the most votes!
Have a great week,
Nick
