Hey everyone!

I hope you're all doing well! Here is episode 17 of your weekly exclusive patroncast :)

In this one, I talk about:

- 01:13 A weird issue on Fedora 37 that almost prevented me from making the latest Linux news video, + the videos planned for this week (ideas and suggestions welcome!)

- 08:56 Trying out Tuxedo OS on my Stellaris 15, and planning an audio podcast interview with Tuxedo to answer a lot of questions about their plans, work, and devices

- 20:02 How using YAST on OpenSUSE changed how I view Linux distros, and made me try and fight my "regular user" bias in how I approach reviews

I hope you'll enjoy listening to this one, and have a nice week!

Good perspectives! Doesn't KDE have a way to manage start-up apps? Settings > Startup and Shutdown > Autostart? I guess it may be incomplete, I only see one flatpak app there.

Yes, it has a startup app module, but I'm not sure about system services (like hardware discovery, printing, network shares, etc...)

really interesting, this might pick up the point from one of my last comments where we definitely need Linux distro that is suited for the broad governmental use case. and since the people there need to maintain and administer the systems I think it is a important point to have a graphical interface for the needed tasks... at least this is what I get when I talk to the people in our it department who are mostly stuck with windows 7 and are afraid to move on...
