Hey everyone,

Welcome to episode 50 of your Exclusive Weekly Patroncast! In this one, I talk about:

- 00:54 Adobe announcing Photoshop and Illustrator on the web, and how these things could become one less roadblock for people to move to Linux.

- 09:10 The JingPad A1 post-review, and how I think this thing show tremendous promise for a "single device computing" future

- 17:46 Organizing life as a freelance worker, my Halloween day, and the super secret project that is less and less super secret

I hope you'll have fun listening to this one!

Best,

Nick

Hi Nick - congratulations on your new career path 👍Could I make a suggestion for a vid series (open or patreon?) I work on a corporate environment and would love to move to Linux full-time (currently using Zorin 16) —— I’ll be honest I’m struggling. Would you consider doing a like-for-like series giving the pros and the cons of the alternative FOSS systems? For example - I had to a presentation- I was planning to use Libre office Impress but it recently bawked on me (total black screen) at a 2 day seminar. I then had to use to use a PDF backup I made of the presentation and present it off my iPad! I cant seem to find a good PDF editor that allows me to amend / copy OCR text etc. Okular comes close but not quite…. I love the idea of Linux, but the day to day frustrations really do sap the spirit. It’s interesting than Linus at Linus Tech Tips is suffering the same issues, albeit in a different realm. Any advice greatly welcomed.

This is a great idea for a series! I was planning to do a series of videos in the vein of « best apps for productivity » , « best apps for note taking » etc… maybe I can do it more in a « best alternatives to » fashion!
