Daryl

Oh what an utter classic. "Can anybody tell me what's wrong with this picture?" And to quote Jules, from another movie. "I been saying that shit for years!"

Every character in this movie is a terrible person with maybe the exception of Robert Duvall…

Ski Patrol Kevin

If this movie was almost too scary for ya, wait til you see Taxi Driver.

This movie is like Joker and Taxi Driver in the sense they follow a person's decent into madness. In each case the character has a clear set of what is right and wrong in their mind and they stick to those rules while they fall into madness. An example of a character who is completely mad but follows his own set of rules is Anton Chigurh from No Country For Old Men.

“Through its exploration of a man’s descent into violence and chaos, Falling Down forces us to examine the pressures and frustrations that can build up within individuals. It serves as a stark reminder of the importance of compassion, mental well-being, and the need for society to address the underlying issues that can lead to such extreme behavior.” (I lifted this passage from an unknown critic.)

Unfortunately, you're going to get plenty of angry comments on YouTube from right-wing white males who identify with Michael Douglas's character.

Not bad. It's one of those "one and done" movies where You watch it once and either you never watch it again or years later you rewatch it and that's it. Two actors from Apocalypses Now are in the movie. It does have really good acting. I remember when I was a little kid, this movie was advertised on tv when it was coming out.

Andrew Jackson (snabbk..)

It's entirely up to you how you react, and it's a very divisive film, politically and generationally. I don't watch people's reactions to it any more. Not because it's "out of date" but because of how it divides audiences. Given how you say it affected you, and because I agree with other commenters that you will get hate comments purely because you react like a modern person, I would consider not putting your reaction on youtube, unless you have already taken it down.
