So happy you keep watching Rocky. :) Thanks Mary. Rocky 3 is very good but not as charming as the first 2. Rocky 4 is way more cheesy , way less charming but still entertaining to watch. Rocky 5 is trash and Rocky 6 is ok. It has some charm cause Stallone love this Character so much that he gives him special touch. The 2 Creed Movies are ok, its way more streamline Hollywood but i guess it can be entertaining for you to watch. Honestly i would watch 3 and 4 and would end it after. Maybe in the distant future you could come back but there are so many other great movies and franchises who wait for you its not worth to spend your time with the later movies. The same goes with the Alien or Terminator Franchise, 1 and 2 are a must, 3 is ok (atleast for Terminator but not for Alien) but the rest is not worth the time.

I like this one fine -- it has some lovely moments, like Rocky proposing to Adrian at the zoo. But I like III, Rocky Balboa, and Creed more among the sequels, with Creed actually being my favorite movie in the series, just edging out the original Rocky.

Yes watching each movie in the series offers ample rewards for the movie watcher, even though each individual chapter may go up and down in quality. It was great watching you react to this movie, it is one of the more touching ones, but as you know by now, it is not all about boxing, its about life, and there is much much more to Rocky's life. You are our champion, Mary, the champion of the world.

Mike LL

These are all the Rocky movies Rocky 1976 won Oscars for Best Picture, Best Director and Film Editing and had nominations for actors Sylvester Stallone, Talia Shire, Burgess Meredith and Burt Young as well as a nomination for Sylvester Stallone's screenplay Rocky II 1979 Rocky III 1982 Rocky IV 1985 Rocky V 1990 had 7 Razzie awards nominations (Worst Picture, Actor, Director) etc, and this is the movie people will tell you to skip, but others will tell you it is an essential chapter, there is no inconsequential chapter in the Rocky saga Rocky Balboa 2006 Creed 2015 people really thought Sylvester Stallone was going to win his acting Oscar in this nominated role, but it was not to be Creed II 2018 and Creed III is scheduled to be released on March 3, 2023 but you never know, it was originally to be released this November, but they keep pushing movies back these days If you watched all these films, when you watched the last very touching scene of Creed II, you will be very glad you watched the entire saga

Fantastic reaction! PLEASE continue watching the Rocky movie series! Each movie builds from the previous one. You'll get comments from some like "skip this one, or skip that one." Do not skip any other the movies if you proceed, as each movie informs the next one in the series. Besides, all movies are subjective and you should make up your own mind how good you think they are. This is probably my favorite film series from start to finish. There is fantastic character work and performances throughout. I hope you continue the Rocky journey!

Do you think they’re going to make as many Creed films as they did with Rocky?

Mike LL

As long as they think they have interesting stories to tell and they keep making money, I think so, yeah.

Loved your reaction Mary! You definitely need to keep watching the Rocky sequels. I can honestly say that there is only one movie in the Rocky franchise that isn't great but you never know. You might actually like it. I'll say no more to avoid giving anything away. Eventhough everyone is going hard on how much they love or hate each movie 😅

Great reaction, and can you believe Stallone wrote and directed this one? Oh wow, real life boxer Roberto Duran was one of Rocky's sparring partners, don't know if he was even credited (he was, as "Fighter") but that was him. "Manos de Piedra," aka Hands of Stone, Duran was a great fighter for a time, came up fighting literally to eat in the slums of Panama, where he fought in organized street fights as an actual child, his story is even more interesting than Rocky's, but much sadder. He wasn't as likeable, came from a very tough place and carried it with him his whole life, although he always tried to go back and help his people, his old neighborhood, when he could. Unfortunately he kind of self-destructed after he became famous, later in life he became his own worst enemy. Sort of like Jake LaMotta, the subject of one of Martin Scorsese's best collaborations with Robert DeNiro, "Raging Bull".

I’ve been waiting for you to do this one . I’d like to see your reaction to Rocky 3 sooner than later . But do them at your own pace . I would like to see you react to all the sequels. Also the two Creed movies. That has an older Rocky in them .

You really should watch Rocky 3 and 4. They are both incredible. The Creeds are good too, but you need to watch 3-4 first. Rocky 5 is so-so.

Daryl

I would say that while you are still enjoying them, then keep following the story. At what ever pace you want. You mentioned in the opening to Rocky. That a small part of the curiosity was that Cassie and Carly had appeared to getting into the saga and continuing on with the franchise. Honestly I kept being surprised how much they enjoyed each movie. I'd be more than happy to watch the whole lot again with you. Let your own feelings quide you. I enjoy every single one of them. Actually to a higher degree than I really realised until rediscovered them all with PIP.

Russell

I would say watch Rocky 3 and 4 but skip 5 (the only terrible one in my opinion) ... then end the series with his movie titled Rocky Balboa. These movies are great and your reaction from a girl's perspective is very enjoyable- it makes watching them again worthwhile. I wish you all the best.
