In season three episode 5 you saw The Hound kill Beric Dondaririon of the Brotherhood in a trial by combat, and then Thoros of Myr, a disciple of the Lord of Light brought him back to life. And Thomas had brought him back to life six times! And the red woman visited the camp to take Gendry to Stannis and learned of this, but she didn't know she could do it. Well as you have finished Game of Thrones I'm sure you have researched all this by now and I'm not telling you anything you didn't know. But they did have this well established in the show before they brought Jon back to life. After so many deaths in the show, it was truly shocking that they brought a character back to life. Of course, they had so much more of Jon's story to tell. A great episode and loved seeing your reaction at the end.
