Soooooooo, here it is.
The post with the numbers I absolutely despise. Sharing this does feel like I'm sharing a big and embarrassing secret, so bear with me.

Where am I at?

For the first time in my life I crossed the 80 kilograms mark on the scale. Remember I went to uni being 64 kg, so very skinny and very fit. Seeing this number starting with an '8' made my heart drop. I'm tall, so it's not like this means I'm huge, but it does mean I'm close to being huge. I can't look at myself in the mirror and I feel like clothing can't 'hide' my secret anymore.

I weighed myself for the first time on the 18th of feb: 80,5 kg.

What are my goals?

Ideally I would want to weigh somewhere around 70-72 kg. I think I cannot reach this quick, since I know I would 100% fail if I need to focus on fitness and health constantly. I still have a lot of other things that I need to spend a lot of time on (work, studies, stream, Laurens, etc.), so I cannot commit ALL my energy to losing weight. So I decided to do it slow, but reasonable. The goal would be to lose ONE KG every SIX WEEKS.

I'm very curious to see how this all will turn out. Tuesday is my first 'weekly weigh in', so then I'll let you know how my journey started in terms of 'emotions'. Because, whieeuuww, there has been a lot already!

Have a good one, and see you in the next one! :)

Hmm.. ..so hitting enter didn't make a new line as I expected. Here's hoping for Shift+Enter! ;0 ;~) \o/ ..what I wanted to add was. You are certainly right I feel in your thoughts on life energies allocations. And with the little bits of thises and thats I've tried and experienced. To me its all about making permanent, postive, affirmative, and adjustable life changes. And your long term goals will be achieved. Diets, crash diets, sudden disproportional unsustainable changes to day to day life are temporary. And as many a public testimony shows you almost always end up back to where you were. If not a little bit worse. Also bring laulau into it with you. Make it something you do together. I mean yall should have as much time together as life will allow. Wouldn't be as fun if you out lived him later on you know.. ;~) Fwiw. <3 (:marilove:) o/ =^.^=

It might happen sooner than you think! Once you start eating better and doing ANY activity that can be considered exercise, you should start dropping about a pound a week (1 Kg every 2 weeks) until you get close to your body’s ideal weight! One day at a time, and maybe allow one day a week for a cheat day! So you can have something to look forward to, and one day isn’t going to derail the week’s effort (as long as you don’t go totally insane). You got this. 😁
