And we have the first proper artwork for a character in the game.

Rajeeyah (Pronounced more like Ra-jyah )

The oldest character of the bunch (not her age, but how long the character existed), even before Nomax came to be, though the two were close.
She really was the catalyst for wanting to dip into more thorough storytelling moreso than Nomax himself. But then I just enjoyed painting that dumb painted dog a whole lot and she fell victim to the usual not enough time thing.

Originally working as a navigator for the VN I decided to switch her to the ship's surgeon instead because it should allow for some more natural interaction with the other characters. I didn't want too many characters crossing that divide between the low-ranking and high-ranking ones because there really wasn't a whole lot of interaction between them back in the day. So the doctor role felt like it'd make it a bit easier to get some interactions going while keeping the educated aspect of her and not demoting her to just another sailor.

Honestly for now she is one of the more hazy characters for me still, just spent more time figuring out the new additions so far, but I hope I'll be able to make her interesting enough!

Decided to start with her because her picture was the most out-of-place of the bunch. A digital ink drawing that is almost a decade old by now, portraying her in very much nomad/arab inspired clothing that just didn't really fit here. Just was the best I had available for her.
So sorting her out first appeared like the obvious choice.

And of course, since anything thighs down will never actually appear in the game in the case of that particular artwork, it does rather quickly become a lot less detailed beyond a certain point. However, I still think it's good to have just a proper full-body version of it just in case. Might end up changing the framing later on or something like that and I'd rather just have some wiggle room than have to potentially adjust a hard cut-off. Plus it just looks nicer when showing off the character too!
